I looked for an old 'Hendo Injured Thread', but could surprisingly not find one!

No one rates him anyway so no loss is it?

Whats the injury?

I think Hendo is important for the high press heavy metal game. We haven't been able to do it as well without him, despite the square pass, the point is he tracks back better and more often than most of the rest, and that's vital if we lose possession when we're pushing forward. Hope his injury isn't serious.

The reports say that our physios will assess him at Melwood before they reveal what kind of injury it is and for how long he will be out.

Hendo perhaps isn't our very best player, but he is a valued member in the squad. Now that he is injured again I bet another midfielder will soon be out too. And then it will be tough going into the hectic December fixture inferno with just a handful of midfielders fit.

Oh and I also noticed that Gomez got another good 90 minutes in the game yesterday. Southgate obviously didn't pay much attention to Klopp's wish for a bit of rest for Gomez.

When did he play, was it against the U.S., yesterday he didn't? In any case, defensive midfield is where we have the most cover, so though it's an issue, it's not a major one. The Holland match today is more of a risk with both VVD and Wijnaldum more important.

Yeah, I think Chester is going to get his wish now, as we're likely to see a lot more of Fabinho, hope he's gotten wound up a bit more during the break. It'd be interesting to see Kieta and Fabinho as a pivot again, with Shaqueri in there as well. It's Watford up next so Klopp can afford to experiement a bit, no disrespect to Watford, it's just that Klopp doesn't seem to have decided on his best eleven yet.
