Better than he was previously. he was cack last year, but he's looked much more solid lately. I don't know if I've seen enough to say he is better than Migs yet, but I think he has a higher ceiling. Migs may be a slightly better shot stopper, but Karius has much better distribution and command of his area.
He's quick off his line, which makes me nervous sometimes, but he is a lot more decisive. I prefer that to Migs' hesitation and flapping.
I would like to see Karius in a more extended run of games to see if he can be the answer. If he is great, if not we need to buy a class keeper. Of course he is better than what he was, that wouldn't have been too difficult. I think he struggled with the physical side of the EPL, this is why he was eased in through the CL. Mignolet is a better shot stopper and Karius is better with his feet. I am not too sure about his coming off the line as sometimes he messes it up, like in his last game when I think he ended taking Gomez out. Karius is better at commanding the area, which is one of our defense's biggest issues with Migs between the sticks. Sometimes he makes mistakes coming off his line, but it usually is the right decision. Hesitation will cause a problem if it's right or wrong. Say or go, and I can live with the consequences. We should have got Big Sam to help Klopp with the defence, too late

7 games into a new season we are joint top, winning all our previous games, and with he stingiest defense in the league. And our attack really hasn't gotten out of second gear yet. We are top of the group of death in the CL, and just made one of the best players in the world look like a child. Our defense is boss. Our Keeper is boss. Our midfield is boss. Our front three is boss. Does this team even really have an obvious weakness?
It's our best start in 50 years, and we have moved from 54th in Europe under BR to 14th (and climbing). Where are the whinge bags now?

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Where are the whinge bags now? Probably sat at the bar with the transfer committee drowning their sorrows and pondering where it all went wrong

Biggest improvement is defence, at last we look solid and can take pressure. If Salah is back to his last season's best, we will win the league, don't know what's the problem though, he shouldn't be jaded, he hardly trained and played in the WC.

Where are the whinge bags now? one could argue it was at least part due to fan pressure that FSG dropped their cheapie prospect policy and signed some top quality players, hence the improvement in performance and results. Could we have done what we've done without VvD, Salah, Keita and Alisson? Never underestimate the value and utility of a decent whinger or two.

The acid test of FSG's outlay and ambition will be when one of the Spanish Clubs start courting one of our star players AGAIN. Building a wall and then knocking it down and starting allover again can be relentless, this time seems different but we will see. If we can win something BIG this season (PL or CL) it would make it more difficult for FSG to justify a sale of one of our star players.

I would have swapped Salah + money for Bale last summer because Bale is proven at the top level for a decade now whole Salah still needs to confirm

FSG agreed to buy more expensive players because we could afford, that's all, we couldn't afford before that as we were not making enough.
