As the title says , he is unhappy they let Karius go and not him , he wants to play regularly

Can Allison play every game this season?

If Mignolet is unhappy can we trust him even in a cup game or should Klopp let him go and try the one of the younger keepers?

Your thoughts ?

I'd want a former number 1 gk to be unhappy on the bench, he's worried he won't get a move as karius has gone. It shows his quality and form that teams aren't in any rush to sign him when he should be at his peak..

Player wants to leave Liverpool ‘today rather than tomorrow’, but Anfield chiefs holding firm

Simon Mignolet is not a happy goalkeeper.

The Belgian is frustrated at Liverpool and the club’s reluctance to let him leave the club this summer, reports HLN on Monday.

Mignolet’s situation has been covered in Belgium for some time and it was thought regardless of Jurgen Klopp signing a goalkeeper or not in the summer market, that an exit was required.

Klopp had made his preference for Loris Karius very clear and even if nobody came in, Mignolet didn’t want to be the spare part to fall back on temporarily when the German malfunctioned.

HLN state Karius leaving for Besiktas, on a two year loan, has made no difference to Mignolet, he still wants to leave and would prefer it was ‘today rather than tomorrow’, signalling his urgency.

However, Anfield’s transfer chiefs are holding firm because Klopp needs a good standard substitute for Brazilian Alisson.

HLN quote Mignolet as saying: “Second or third goalkeeper does not make a difference for me. I have made it clear to the club that I want to play, and I have not been told anything about Loris’ departure, so I do not know what my future is like.”

It’s claimed Liverpool’s €12m asking price was too high, and Mignolet added: “I also had different options to leave on a loan basis, but for some reason that was not possible, and I find it strange that a goalkeeper who had a preference last year over me may have a loan.”

He’s probably got a point.

I don't blame him, but he's had his chance.

Mignolet only has himself and his Agent to blame over this.
12m euros is not exactly breaking the bank for any club to purchase Mignolet, so if this was the fee Liverpool were asking for then I would suggest Mignolet and his Agent never tried hard enough to entice any other club to part with the cash for him.

Now Liverpool have Alisson his tune has changed because he knows he's not good enough to usurp him.

If he was better he wouldn't be our No. 2. Simple really. He'll get cup games though I think (not ECL).

Nailed on for Carabao Cup IMO along with everyone currently on the bench plus Fabinho, Origi, Moreno and Woodburn.

He is lucky to be number 2 keeper and not number 3

Exactly SSO,if any of us performed as poorly at work we'd be sacked for gross misconduct.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

He's just lucky to still be called a keeper!
