When he came his record wernt bad, it was only after he came in then he began shafting the worlds elite teams.

Parry and Moores? Blinded by greed, to ethical to take the man from thailands money but quite happy to let fat feck in! Money grabbing fecks!

I don't think I'll pick any of the above I'll just stick to getting Hicks wacked!

Because a load of short-sighted and clueless imbeciles whined and moaned at any given opportunity about how little money we had and essentially forced Moores to sell up.

Hicks and Gillet are businessmen. They invest in businesses. Obviously they are going to hire the best people to help them win a bid and present themselves in the best way.

I also doubt very much that any investor would have come to Moores with a proposal that did not involve some kind of debt being placed on the club, its just unfortunate that the economic situation that followed ended up making this debt more difficult to shift.

I think the real problem is that whoever buys the club is going to be more interested in putting money in their own pocket than in seeing LFC successful on the pitch. Ideally, i'd have preferred Moores to hold on to the club but he didn't. It's why i've got behind ShareLiverpool. Ownership by the fans is really the only safe ownership we'll ever find.

He'll continue to ask for a ridiculous asking price whilst bleeding the club dry. And all of this time, the clubs debt will increase. I'm not sure if you're aware, but as well as the £351m debt to RBS, we also owe H&G's company, Kop Holdings Ltd, £141m. These cowboys are charging the club 10% interest pa on this sum.

So which one of the two evils does the club more damage?

But as I said before, noone will buy the club if it doesn't look like a commercially viable operation! The club is for sale, and I doubt Hicks or Gillett want the hassle anymore anyway. Ironically the best thing the fans can actually do is buy even more merchandise because that way we will either make the club look like a better deal for an investor or, worst case scenario, H&G stay but they don't have to keep selling players to pay off the debt interest

I think what he's saying is be careful what you wish for. The vast majority of fans were glad to have H&G buy the club because they expected them to plough large amounts of money into the club. That was naive.

Like i said, whoever buys the club will only be looking to make money out of it.

Of course they are. That is the price you have to pay unless you have someone with more money than sense who is using it as some kind of status symbol.

Sadly many disagreed at the time about Moores and constantly called for him to go. I was not one of them and it sounds like you weren't either but loads were.

ShareLiverpool is a nice idea but how will the big money be raised year on year for transfer fees/player wages? And how about a new stadium? It could only be borrowed really couldn't it?

No-one is going to buy the club because the club isn't worth £600-800 million. It's a bad investment at that price and Hicks won't lower the asking price.

If we do it your way and spend even more, Hicks will raise the asking price accordingly. And even if he does sell, who's to say that the next owner won't be just as bad or even worse?

It's time to make a stand. We have to force his hand, forget the short term repercussions on the playing side and look towards the long term future of the club.

I would defend Moores and Parry, who I think take some unfair stick.

I wouldn't really defend Hicks and Gillett but in fairness I doubt the current situation is what they really wanted either!! I suspect if they could they would have built the new stadium now, had a team who had had some success and then sold the whole club off for a huge profit.
