Next time just name yourself Spangles2,3,4,5,6,7....

Back to the thread. Another 10 days or so before the transfer window closes for the other leagues right? More outgoings can still happen
Good luck Ings

Or else what? Both Pep and Mourinho have spent more since they arrived.
sorry you can't spend what we have this summer then say here you go here's an FA Cup or League Cup....no chance no way. The days of fans defending Klopp and hiding behind the excuse that he hasn't had the money to compete with the big clubs has firmly gone...that ship has well and truly sailed...gotta deliver the league, no excuses this season now.

That's more a Bluenose type of fan.

A much better Premier League effort and a trophy would be significant progress for Liverpool. For Liverpool to mount a prem title challenge we'd need a lot of luck with our main players staying injury free. We've strengthened significantly but not to the strength of City's overall squad.

I don't think any realistic pundit or fan believes Liverpool can topple City after being 25 points behind them last year.
gonna have to disagree with you there...I think FSG think we can win the League and that's why they have given Klopp the funds. If they didn't want to target the league they would not of given him that amount of money when just half of that would maybe of still secured a top four place. There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever FSG are targeting the League title this season there is no way FSG would throw money at something when there was no need to risk that amount, they are business men and much too savvy.
I think City will win the league myself, not by the margin as last season but they will win it by double figures and comfortable. If you ask me how it will pan out for us, put it this way going by how many points City lose over a season if at anytime this season City go six points or more ahead of us, the league campaign will be over as there is no way we are pulling that back...no chance.

So you don't expect us to win it, but if we don't we failed and he has to go? That makes zero sense.
I have not put nearly 200 million pound of my own money into gambling for the League title unlike FSG...if I did I would expect my manager to win me a League title for that amount. I think FSG are mad for risking that much of my own capital with the size of the bigger Clubs in the Premier League we are trying to compete with.

Put it this way, I look at us as a Club in a car race, for years we have been a Ford Focus...this year we have invested more money than before and become an Audi or BMW the only problem is, the race we are in also has a McClaren...Ferrari and Bugatti, we are expecting those three cars to break down for us to win the race however not all three will all break down at the same time...so basically no chance...

You know what, actually you don't but we have invested money we generated which is nothing new. And wtf are you talking about, who is expecting which car to break down?

I hadn’t realised that spurs didn’t sign anyone. I know they’re a decent side already but that’s pretty unusual. Maybe the stadium is hurting their finances already?

Glad Ings has left, was an average striker not fit to wear the red shirt. He will fit right in at st Mary's. Good fee as well. People gave Origi grief but at least he scored when given the chance. If I was Klopp I would let Solanke leave aswell and keep Sturridge and Origi as back up.

I think 1 of those 3 will go out on loan.

Solanke to Rangers has been touted.

Basically it's like risking a fiver to win 2 pound...alrite if ure filthy rich like city or Chelsea but not if you are run like a business like we are.

You must have been weak at Maths if you went to school. To start with, LFC spent about 177m and recouped 12.5 by selling Ward, so spent a little bit more than 150m, then we'll get at least 30n from CL and I am not even counting the 50m left from Coutinho's sale. So as usual, you are talking shyte. And what your club's target Bluenose? Btw, nobody would buy 31 years old Vertonghen for even 75m

Think we need more then Sturridge as he will get injured and Origi is just not good enough but Solanke isn't either.

so we never gave those clubs that money for those players then...you say I must be weak at maths then you must be diluded to think we got those players for nothing or as a free gift.

Are you not the one who wrote the winner of the EPL gets 150m, what are you talking about? Btw, just saw on Sky that we spend 165m.

If we win the PL, it raises the profile of the club even more globally as a brand, so sponsorship/merchandising/prize money/player values increase, which increases the value of the club overall, so FSG £270million initial + spend since investment to buy us, is worth a whole lot more.
