Boycotting club merchandise will hit the owners where it hurts - in their pockets.
The club is currently losing £110,000 per week. By boycotting club merchandise, we'll have the effect of forcing the owners to sell at a reasonable price. And you like that the club you support is (apparently) losing so much money a week do you? You don't see how this kind of thing might have a negative impact upon the team? I don't like the owners anymore than you do, and I want them to sell the club the same as everyone else does but if the club is losing money and has to present a balance sheet to potential buyers that shows that the club is losing money THEN NOONE WILL WANT TO BUY IT WILL THEY??? Whatever group is interested in the club won't know that the revenue is down because some dopey fans think they are making a stand and not buying merchadise til H&G are gone. They will just see a set of accounts with a huge debt and not a lot in the way of commercial potential.

I'm not buying any LFC merchandise until G&H are long gone. I'm not prepared to help pay their debts! No, because reducing the debt would be terrible for us fans wouldn't it?

We have 2 choices. The first is a complete boycott which will force H&G to lower the price and sell the club.
The second choice is to continue to support the club, attend matches and buy merchandise. If we do that then there is no pressure on Hicks to sell. And he won't sell. He'll continue to ask for a ridiculous asking price whilst bleeding the club dry. And all of this time, the clubs debt will increase. I'm not sure if you're aware, but as well as the £351m debt to RBS, we also owe H&G's company, Kop Holdings Ltd, £141m. These cowboys are charging the club 10% interest pa on this sum.
So which one of the two evils does the club more damage?

The debt is owed to Kop Holdings Ltd, which is a company owned by H&G. But the debt is owed by LFC.

OK, just had a look at last years accounts for correct figures.
LFC owes RBS £226 million. This debt was taken out in the name of Kop Football (Holdings) Ltd. Being a limited company, the directors aren't financially liable for any of the debt. LFC are responsible for this debt and pay an annual interest charge of £30m.
KFHL have also put an amount of money into LFC, charging interst at 10% apr. The current level of debt owed to KFHL by LFC is £100.8m. Again, LFC are liable for this debt. And it's growing. Last year, we were charged £9.3m on a £93m debt. Next years interest charge will be over £10 million. We are not paying this debt off and it increases every year.
So along with the money that H&G are taking out, there is the investment within the club at a growth rate of 10% apr. When you consider the £30 million interest payments as well, the club is forking out around £50 million per season in debt. Just think what we could do if that money was ploughed into the team.
So if we keep running like this, then in 10 years the debt will outweigh the value of the club. Hicks did the same with Corinthians and also with the Texas Rangers.

Anyone boycotting the new kit (home/away etc?)
I have vowed to not buy anything from the club shop until the yanks are out.
I'll be wearing the old kit from the 90s to support the team from now on. No more new kits. The yanks can go [oops] themselves.
Anyone with me? Check the liverpool echo website, not many people have boycotted it, as its the fast's selling liverpool shirt ever released. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool...00252-26722819/35,000 home shirts sold at the cost of £44.99 ! some money that.

According to Ian Ayre, the majority of shirts sold have been shipped abroad. This would indicate that the boycott in this country is having an effect. From small acorns do oaks grow.....

Seriously how is this guy still walking! He goes around the world trampling on sports teams and then just ups and leaves, WANK*R!
I think we should join forces with all the other fans whose teams have been shafted by Hicks. Contact the boys from Corithians, the boys in America and pretty much anyone else who wants to join in and hammer this fecker until he fecks off and dies!
A global anti-hicks movement if you will.

The banks will intervene way before administration becomes a possibility, though relegation is always a possibility. Hicks takes advantage of the law surrounding business, sets up new companies and makes his money that way. It's all perfectly legal though somewhat unethical.
