Daniel Sturridge has spent 646 DAYS OUT INJURED so far from August 2009 to present day!

Consider that figure is for days unavailable to work which means the football season from August to May and not the 365 days of a year!

Absolutely SHOCKING!!!

I wonder if he stays fit all season and gets double figure goals from cameo appearances whether we would give him another contract?

A pay as you play deal could be an option and he could repay the club yet.

I have lost faith in him, he cannot stay injury free no matter what. At one point He was on the bench last season and then disappeared injured even without playing so it really is hard to trust him anymore. Phenomenal talent tho.

I think the pace he had back in the 13/14 season isn't there anymore.

Either it's the injuries themselves or it's his self confidence when it comes to running and staying fit that's gone.

Only half the player he used to be is still there.

He never beats an opponent on pace these days. Just strolls around and then turns when a defender shows up near him.

Sad but true. frown

I honestly think if he learns to play unselfishly, and somehow stops getting injured all the time, he has what it takes to be a quality number 10. I agree he hasn’t got the pace anymore to be as effective playing off the shoulder. And he was never a Kane/shearer like poacher. He has quality in that left foot though and he actually does have an eye for a pass when he chooses to look for it.

So he gets injured on purpose?

I don't think Gypsy is a race. You may have found it offensive or disappointing but unless you're of Gypsy decent it shouldn't offend you.
