Hmmm, Lovern has improved substantially in recent months, however one feels there might be the odd howler lurking in the shadowlands waiting to pounce in the most damaging and inauspicious moment. I for one would like to have a bit more insurance than we currently have as things stand. With the high line we play every defender will make mistakes, even VVD did, I think it was in CL, he took too long to pass the ball I'm not sure. Lovren being less good with the ball will make more mistakes though he is physically stronger.

What I wanted to say was that I agree all defenders make mistakes, but last and previous season Lovern made more mistakes than VvD, however Lovern has improved of late, so we can hope. He had a very good WC and before that he was playing well for us too, so now with both VvD and Allison together with Robertson and TAA, he's likely to be more composed, I hope so anyway.

Rumours of Lovrens wc partner Vida. Want that impressive tbh but looked ok, nothing special. Will he really be an improvement for 26m? He'd be improving the quality of the squad, I expect if we signed Vida we'd sell either Matip or Klavan. I can't see us signing him unless one of our CB leaves.

I also think that was bad management from Klopp, not necessarily Klavan's fault, bringing a new CB on so late in games and switching to a back 3 just created confusion after they have played as a back 4 for 80 minutes. At least Klavan is usually available, Matip is a good player, but is always injured, he's just gone off injured tonight in the pre-season friendly.

Some more talk of Fekir being unhappy at Lyon.
Says he's gutted the move fell through and wants aulas to re start negotiating with Liverpool.
I can see this one being done on the last day.

Klopp is stubborn and Aulas píssed him off, so can't see it happening.
Would be great to get him though, and replace Hendo with him in the starting line up.

Could be that we’re looking to offload before going for Fekir.
Ings, Origi, Markovic, Migs etc will cover the cost.
