He gets mentioned every year. He's been mentioned in a couple of threads recently too.
When he signed I was excited. I'd watched him for no other reason than I liked him on FM or FIFA etc. So when he arrived and played right wing. Or left wing. Or wing back. Needless to say I was gutted.
I don't think he has been given enough of a chance in his preferred role (ironically the 10 role.)
He plays there only in pre season. Where he does well. Generates a thread or at least some chatter. Then gets bombed out.
I know we don't see training. I know we don't know what happens behind closed doors but I really don't know what this kid must have done to not get a look in.
When one manager leaves his post. They always leave a dossier on the current players and staff I can only assume that Rodgers failed to leave one on him and Klopp just doesn't know who or what he is.
If Klopp is all about improvement of current players. Then surely. He deserves a crack at the only position he can play in as a spot opened up in January and has yet to be filled.

He didn´t look good last night even with Keita behind him. Still he got a goal.

Klopp will know all about him, when at Dortmund he knew all the players, we bought Markovic for about £20 million as a teenager, so he was no up & coming secret, he's had him for nearly 3 years.
He's being given a game in pre-season, he took his goal well, but it will take allot to impress Klopp especially with the MF options we have now, but it's shocking how far he has dropped, I expect him to go out on loan and run down his contract, he barely made the bench when he was here, so something was not right, you'd think he'd fit into Klopp's system quite well.

Someone said in another thread that he's always looked a bit lightweight so maybe it's that. I've never seen anything to make me think wow not even in pre-season.

Its not like solanke or ings are offering any goal threat. And he's fitter than sturridge.
It's proper annoying tho. He was so highly rated.

He did ok at Hull on loan, but he didn't set the world alight, it's not like we saw him and thought wow, let's get him back.
I don't really like sending players on loan, like last season, when we had the run in & CL games, the likes of Markovic & Grujic would have been perfect to chuck in to give Henderson & Can a rest, but we had them on loan and had to keep playing the first team players and taking a risk of injury.
I guess that's the risk of buying young European players, can't even blame moneyball as we paid top money for him, just more of the Suarez money wasted, at least under Klopp we aren't wasting money.

He impressed me last night, and he has in flashes. I think there's a player in there. I'd like to see him as a rotation option.

It's not only Klopp though, he didn't do well on loan neither. Everybody wants Wilson for example but not him, there must be a reason.

It's proper annoying tho. He was so highly rated. As were Anthony La Tallec and FLorent Sinama Pongol(or whatever it was), I still remember there was alot of hype claiming them to be stars in the making or something. Turned out they hardly even warmed the bench. I think Markovic is a good example of the horrible joke of a transfer policy we had up till Klopp came in, where some random guy in a suit analysed some stats of youngsters and determined that Markovic was great after just one non-shitty season with Benfica, except that in this case we actually paid alot of money.
