For us to keep hold of these South American players we have to knock the Spanish clubs off their perch. We have to make it so there is no better clubs than ourselves so their heads aren't turned. To do this we have to be winning competitions again, home and abroad. A title challenge this season may just be asking too much unless all the new players hit the ground running and it's a smooth transition to our playing style. Man City were 25 points clear of us for a reason, they had consistency and depth. We just have to get the consistency part because our depth is now much better.
We are going to rattle a few cages next year. That's for sure.
Far too much respect was shown to Man City by teams last season. Hopefully, they'll gave a go this term.
Defending the PL is very difficult, I expect Man City will focus on CL success this year, having won the PL, the CL is what the owners want now, this is why Pep was brought in.
