Real Madrid used Allisson to make Courtois and his Agent show their hand. Courtois had made it clear at some stage he wanted to go to Spain to be near his kids who live with his ex-GF in Madrid. Courtois' contract runs out next year so there was NO WAY Real Madrid were going to miss out on an opportunity to get Courtois for buttons.

I'd be happy if we got Allisson or Cillessen because they'd both suit our style of play.

Chelsea have also been linked with him to replace Courtois if he leaves, which looks likely, so makes sense if we move in quickly and do the deal.

Yes an excellent window especially if we also sign Fekir or a similar type and quality player. If we get Alison and Fekir assuming the knee business turns out to be nothing more than a distraction, I would be optimistic of a challenge for the title this coming season. I'm basing that opinion on Klopp's record of signing strong fits for his style and playing philosophy.

Maybe we'll get another CB in, we are light in this area with Matip injured and looking likely Klavan will be off with only a year remaining on his contract and him now 32. We have Gomez but he has been injury prone and relying on Lovren could be a bit tricky considering his history with us.

You're probably right on us not pursuing Fekir anymore now Vish, now that we have Shaqiri as he can play anywhere along our front line being 2 footed.
