Just a shame the player doesn't have a functioning left knee.

But hey ho, don't let that stop you Kloppo! laugh

I think we still have about 80m to spend after spending 96m on VVD, Keita and Fabinho. About 60m left from the Coutinho sale, 50m for last year's EPL and 70m from CL.

I think it doesn't work like that Vish.

They don't keep track on money not yet spent. There is a maximum budget there for sure, but if LFC can be kept floating and save a few bob then that's only a positive.

You have to remember that FSG are not here to pay - they're here to play!

Then we have Klopp who doesn't want any midfielder from a list of say 5. He wants THE midfielder - and if that's not possible we will have to wait at least half a season to fix the problem.

There's also a problem with the extra short summer transfer window this year, so I don't expect any more transfers to be made - at least not incoming.

I will be overjoyed if we got a keeper, a cb and a striker out of the blue, but feel it will simply not happen this summer.

There's going to be allot of deals done quickly in the PL after the WC before the transfer window closes, I think it will be a mad one.

it will depend who we sell on who we bring in, atm I expect only an AM like Fekir type.

If we sell Migs I think we will move for a GK.

Nacer Chadli has looked good for Belgium, he's quite versatile as well, would fit into Klopp's heavy metal style, might be worth a look at, as WBA have been relegated, so he will be moving on, the commentator said he had a release of £17 million which is a decent price for an experienced PL MF/Winger.

That would be to get a squad player in - not for our starting XI.

But we need to upgrade on what we already have, and put a few of our current starters on the bench imo.

Before Ox returns we will look something like this with the players we currently have:

-----------Karius-----------

TAA--Lovren--VvD--Robbo

-Hendo---Fabinho---Keita-

--Salah---Bobby---Mané--

What we need first of all is a replacement for our weakest link: Karius.

Then comes a cb upgrade on Lovren.

After that comes a back up striker.

And then we have the upgrade on Hendo/Milner/Wij - but that will sort itself out when Ox returns. It should be enbough with Keita and Fabinho as cleaning ladies in front of our back 4.

My calculation is from last season's/financial year's net cash flow not what was not spent before that. What do you mean?

I mean that they simply don't keep track on just every player purchased and sold, and keep in mind that we still have x or y pounds left to spend.

I think Klopp knows about how many players he wants in, and that's about it.

Doesn't really matter that we never replaced Suarez and Coutinho. That money just went into the black hole, and won't be earmarked for anything special. It's just gone.

I dont think Suarez money went into a black hole as we bought quite a few players that season. Coutinho's money has been used for VVD and Keita.

Yes, but looking at our net spend over the last 5 years, it doesn't look like we are keeping track on an exect level. If anything the net spend has gone down recently.

You just can't label money like that.

I agree that we used some of Phil's money to pay for VvD though. After all, they came and went in the same window.

Keita hasn't even been paid for yet, so it's anyones guess what pile of money will pay for the different players who have just arrived or are still to arrive. Maybe we saved some of the Phil money to pay for Keita, but if so we would have a massive pile left to buy new players with. But still only Fabinho.

It's still early days so we might see maybe 3 or 4 more arrivals before Aug 9:th, but I doubt it. Will be interesting to see, but in the recent past we have never got quite what we needed - as usual we've been 2 or 3 players short of a decent level.

We are being run self sufficiently, and that is what we will continue to be.
