From the various reports on Fekir's knee problems most state cartilage, if this is true then it's not that big of a deal. As someone who has suffered knee problems for 20+ years cartilage problems can be fixed with very little recuperation time. I'd be concerned if the underlying problem for Fekir was anterior or medial cruciate ligament damage but I have not seen anybody mention this?
I think we will still pursue Fekir and current stories of Man Utd being after him are jiggery pokery to test our hand.
Yeah, I agree, there are worse problems than cartilage problems especially nowadays, so the whole thing is a bit weird and wonderful really, considering his knee injury was public knowledge before we went in for him. Don't think we knew the extent of the injury before the medical, did we?

It's not the sort of info a club will reveal as it devalues the player, you normally have a medical as the last step to a signing after the deal has been agreed, these days they are usually routine, so they probably did not expect a problem.

For a player who had a well publicised knee injury, plus at least one subsequent reoccurence, I wonder what exactly people involved expected to find?

Lots of players have had big transfers after/while recovering from major injuries, like Gazza & Ruud Van Nistelrooy, U guess their scans showed up okay based on their injuries, Fekir's scan must have caused concern beyond the expected result of his previous injuries. If we spent £50+ million on a player with a dodgy knee, then he rarely plays due to injury like Sturridge, we would all be asking questions as we would be a laughing stock, we have to trust the medical team to advise the club. I still think this transfer could be revived.

The jiggery pokery again this time that Utd are after Shaqiri, nonsensical considering Utd are overly stocked in this area having Martial, Mata, Lingard, Rashford etc...

It's just lazy reporting, probably the clubs & agents also trying to force Liverpool's hand/raise the value. If we get him at a decent price, he's a useful player and strengthens the squad, but not a first teamer, equally if we missed out, it's not the end of the world, so we should negotiate hard. Will be funny to see him in training with Klopp making him play heavy metal football!

Don't worry mate, we are always negotiating hard, and usually miss out due to that fact!

With Ronaldo looking like he may actually leave for Juventus.
We should make a move for Dybala.
Juve will need funds and teams like Barca Real Atletico PSG don't need him.
I think k he is a great option for us.
