Fekir's knee injury was well known before we went in for him, plus subsequent additional injuries, so it seems a bit ham fisted to be arguing about fitness injuries now, after the announcement video was shot and a jersey number allocated!!also there was a difference of medical opinion on the seriousness of the injury, all very strange.
When you pay £50+ million for a player, the medical people will be looking at his fitness over the length of his contract, which could be 5 years, so they might say he's fine now, but there could be degenerative damage to the knee that in the next few years could cause problems/weaken the knee, that level of detail would only come out in a full medical with X-rays etc, sometime you take a risk, like Man Utd did with Van Nistelrooy, which worked out well for them.
This affects getting medical insurance etc, so it's important for the club/business, as he's a 50 million asset.
