surely , surely some thing needs adressing at the back, look at the last 2 and a half matched in the CL. look how any we conceded in 2.5 games, thereis a huge problem at the back, without checking, i bet we conceded more in the 2 and a half games that real did in the competition .

Well 2 were pens that should not have been given. One was a freak own goal. One was a world class strike and two were goalkeeper howlers. That takes care of 6 of them. Without checking Real certainly conceded 3 at home to Juventus and 4 v Spurs in two games. Again without checking I am pretty sure that they conceded in almost every game in the knockout phase whereas we kept two clean sheets v Porto and one v City who only managed one goal against us.

As a Liverpool fan you should know these things without checking.

We have signed a defensive midfielder to play in front of our back 4.

Sorry what is your point again?

Totally agree. A top keeper should be a priority.

I think we will get a new keeper, just not convinced it will be a top keeper like Oblak or Alisson as they are quoting £60+ million.

I can see Migs leaving, so we will need a new keeper, probably keep Karius as number 2, no one would buy him now anyways, or send him on loan to a smaller club in Germany or somewhere like that to build up his confidence.

It worked out OK waiting to sign van Dijk in January but I hope we don't do this when buying a goalkeeper we really want. Mignolet will probably leave as you say but he should not be allowed to until we have a replacement signed.

Klopp will naturally be on pressure from reaching the cl final. Fans want to go one better either with a league challenge or again reach the cl final and win it this time. He also has that final tag which he needs to break. Our football has evolved with klopp no doubt but we need to start seeing trophies to make his tenure a success.

I also think he has not fixed our defence yet, it was patched up nicely with VvD but we still need a top keeper and another CB to challenge for top honors, if he doesn't remedy our greatest weakness he has himself to blame. All in all, Klopp will be under immense pressure this coming season from a variety of ways.

Define immense pressure? As if we do not win anything next season he should be sacked?

Ultimately yes he should be sacked if he totally bombs and doesn't fix our defence. He needs to win trophies to kick start something even if it's the milk cup or fa cup. Getting knocked out of these competitions early will be unacceptable.

He will stay for a further season if he is a nearly man again ( a challenge for title or reach major final) but we need to see progress especially in the league, we were 20 odd points away from city, we need to be much closer even if we have to be uglier on the pitch.

Ultimately it's the defence that needs sorting to unlock all these possibilities and if he doesn't remedy this in his 3rd season he will not win anything again and the club may look elsewhere.
