Come on, you may not agree with my player manager suggestion, but let's keep the discussion sensible. Barton has passion and if anyone under-performs, he can launch a neck high, two footed lunge on em during his half-time team talk.

"Give your souls to your Gods and load your guns,
Its time to deal in lead.
We are the legions of the damned,
The army of the already dead...."

Then walk away and stop bitching about it. No offence but how old are you, I was born in the Shankly era and grew up on Paisley era I know how the club and fans were one. but times change, money has changed that, it's not about the football anymore it's about the £ sign. But it is the same in any sport. doesn't mean because times and the club has changed that my love for it will change. Never I will always love and support Liverpool no matter what.

wink ynwa!

i hope that being a liverpool fan we can enjoy some glory this year,...and will always be behind the club for support!

I for one even though he wasn't my ideal choice am glad.
Roy has always came across as very level head, really good with the media and a good man manager.
I think with all the turmoil at the club at the moment, we need someone like that.

Like many i would of loved to see Kenny fill the boots, but regarding the crap the papers have said that Kenny will walk, he won't. him and roy are friends and have known each other well for years so i could see Roy being manager and kenny asan adviser but from behind the scenes.

We have players that need man management and who knows Roy might bring out the best in them.

Hopefully he could do the daunting task of keeping Gerrard and Torres. that we will have to wait and see.

So he is here so let's be supportive of him even though he wasn't most of us ideal choice.

Welcome Woy

If Roy is our new manager, I would be pretty happy with that... we could have appointed far worse...

He knows his way around the Premiership, knows how to manage at a big club (Inter), has a knack of spotting talent and may bring some harmony and togetherness back to the club.

I think Kenny will stay too.

Don't be surprised to see Duff and Hangelaand follow him...

If we win our first two games then things will look mighty fine and we'll all being calling Roy the Messiah!

Seriously wins those two and we'll be flying and last season will be a distant and forgotten memory.
