So, do you reckon that 'doing absolutely nowt, other than let CHEATING, yes, CHEATING just bumble along , as though it's almost cool and ok to do so, is acceptable?
If our Mo boy wants to get a titty lip on....no one is confirming this will be the case btw....then so be it as far as I'm concerned.
Didn't really affect our Luis when he was banned for his nibbling escapades did it? I didn't suggets doing absolutely nothing. I suggesting haveing a strong word with him in private. I think this is his first major offense in this regards? If so, just saying that Klopp could perhaps had shielded him a bit, diverted the interview, stonewalled or whatever... but then educate the las in private.

He can save the hat trick for the CL finals.
A 1-0 win against Brighton will do nicely. it may well do nicely after the event, but we'll all be sufferring to the final whistle of the final game if it's just going to be 1-0! when would you like that goal to be scored? within the first few minutes, in the final minute of injury time? Whichever it is, I don't think a 1-0 will be much fun for us!

You just have to decide how you want to be. I'd rather us not win stuff than to win it by cheating.
I'm realistic to know that ALL players will dive/cheat to an extent but I definitely think that Klopp coming out and condemning it is the right thing regardless of who else follows suit. I think we all agree how we want it to be. There's no debate there. I think the debate here is simply how we get there. If Salah reacts well then this could be a masterstroke by Klopp . Klopp and the club will also be seen leading the way to try to clean up the sport. If however it affects Salah's relationship with Klopp such that salah becomes withdrwan, feels the manager shamed him in public unecessarily etc.... and then the rest of the sport does nothing about diving and carries merrly along.... well then it could be very costly for us. Only time will tell how this pans out. Hopefully the story simply won't develop, Salah stops diving, scores a hat-trick next week and we're back on track for a great season. Klopp and Salah would've had a chat about this before it went to the press so I don't think there'll be any strain on their relationship. Klopp has also pointed out the he doesn't want or need a reputation for diving as when he does get fouled, the ref may not give it if he thinks he's diving. When you take that bit from the papers then it could also be Klopp saying to the refs that he's had a word and that Salah won't be diving anymore so than when he does go down next time, he might have more chance of getting the decision.

I'm not sure they will have had a chance to chat about this. These quotes may have been from post match press confernces, interviews... and I don't know what manager's do after a game. They may just leave the players in peace until sunday or monday morning. Yes, I read the context and the detail of what Klopp said. It's all reasonable and makes sense. The problem is that the headlines that the media make from it focusses on and sensationalises only a narrow aspect, and most readers won't bother with the detail. It will be interesting to see if this topic is developed in the next press conference.

Mo did dive and i along with many others dont like cheating,as far as Klopp goes he didnt have to make his feelings about it so public i suppose. I cant help but think though that if he dived in the final and we got a winning penalty from it i might like us all to do an Arsene.  Mo could do with some drama classes though.

He DID dive, and I see no wrong in taking anyone to task about it. He obviously hates CHEATING as much as most decent supporters do. Should be red carded, never mind yellowed IMO.  In some ways I agree there's no wrong. And it's good to see a manager speak 'the truth' bluntly. On the other hand, this is a professional sport. The reality is that other players, managers, clubs practice the 'dark arts'. It's great to be open and honest but will it cost us? Don't we also need to protect the reputation of the player? of course if it was so blatant... then Salah isn't really giving Klopp much of an option I suppose. Let's see how Salah reacts. Hopefully he won't throw a stropp and start talking about wanting to go elsewhere. What reputation could Klopp have protected there, it was a blatant dive. Klopp was right.

It'll be killed by silence from the other managers as per usual. Most of them abide by "any which way but lose", so they're not going to go there IMO. Anyway Klopp deserves praise for his stand, and I doubt the humble Salah will take much offence at being public ally chastised. I bet he's regretting that sudden whim already, it happens under the intense pressure, so let's all move on, it's done and dusted.

Didn’t you make a thread saying he was too soft on players? I may well have done. I'm sure he gives them a piece of his mind... as he seems to do from the touchline. But he seems very patient with them in terms of allowing them time to improve... as we've seen with Lovren, Migs, Moreno & Karius. It's in that sense I believe he is too soft sometimes. In this case, I'm not saying he should have been soft on Salah. Just that maybe he shouldn't have doen it in public. Not an issues thought... either approach can work or backfire. Let's just see how the next week pans out for Salah and see from there on.
