We need to do the thing that made us great. We need to invest for the future and sign 20/21 year olds who can spend 2 years in the reserves learning their trade and become the Liverpool team of the future.

Benitez threw £248 million at the team over 6 years and we're no further forward. Houllier spent a small fortune, so did Souness. Just because every other team does it, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. There is no quick fix and 5 x £20 million players aren't gonna make us champions.

i beg to differ 5x20m players is going to bring us the title. it worked for the Chelsea didnt it? but i know what yr saying , and a agree i rather bring in the players young for cheap rather then waiting a few years and they are too expensive.

You're always gonna need players who can do a job for you. Every team has them and traditionally, we've always had them.

to get back up into the top 4 money needs to be spent on top players anything less dont bother spending your hard earned on a ticket to watch liverpool fc as you will be very dissappointed.

Personally, i think a certain Mr Mourinho had more to do with Chelsea winning the title than 5 x £20 million players. He certainly didn't need to spend that much at Porto or Inter.

The point is that for so long now, we've tried the quick fix of throwing money at the team every season and it hasn't worked. Fundamentally, what we're doing is wrong.
