They are both World class footballers, fairly similar goal scorers and can both win a game on their own.

Where they differ is temperament, watching Suarez I always thought he was on the edge and could do something stupid, like being sent off for biting a player or saying something crazy, It felt like he was always on borrowed time with us. whereas Salah is the perfect professional and team player, so for me, that raises him above Suarez as he can be relied upon.

Good points, and probably agree too, but still luv (manly) 'our Luis' loads and the joy he brought us.

Salah is a nice guy on and off the pitch, model professional. I love watching him play, so exciting. We are lucky to have him.

I was waiting for this topic to appear. Suarez gets my "tick" because he is skilled with both feet and not just his left, he is more of a terrier, and also is a better header of the ball.

He will.
Can't suddenly become an average player, you see.

Salah for me. Suarez always busted his [oops], but at any moment it felt like either a moment of magic or a total meltdown.

Salah makes it look so effortless. It's like he's just ghosting through everyone, doing exactly what he wants, when he wants. And there isn't the temperment risk either.

Suarez was probably capable of the slightly more spectacular. On his day, he could be on another planet, but he could also bite somebody or be out of sorts. He was less consistent. He might score five goals, he might score none, he might get sent off. He got more consistent, especially towards the end, but he's got a certain streakiness.

Salah's flash might not be quite as otherworldly in spurts the way Suarez's was, but he's so consistently superb. He might not get many 3-5 goal games, but he seems to get a goal or a brace every time he plays. I'd prefer that.
