I was not there tonight but apparently pitched battles between Liverpool and Roma fans and a person seriously injured. There is a lot of bad blood between the clubs from the 1984 final. I would not like to be going to the away leg.

Not good, they are really letting the club down, we could be playing to empty stadiums next season.

I wouldn't be going to Rome, our fans will be in for a rough time. I've seen a few comments from fans who have tickets in the home stands in Rome, they must be mad.

Shame this will take the gloss off a good result, like it did when we beat City at Anfield.

World Cup will be carnage as well with the Russian fans and police, I wouldn't go anywhere near that, shame football seems to be heading back to the 80's culture.

Why does football bring out the worst in some people....for want of a better word.

According to reports in echo it was Roma fans and the person in hospital is a 53 year old Liverpool fan

Two men from Rome have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a Liverpool supporter was left fighting for his life following an altercation between fans ahead of the Champions League semi-final at Anfield.

The man, believed to be from Ireland and with his brother, is being treated for his injuries at Walton Neurological Centre, where his condition is described as critical, Merseyside Police said.

The 25-year-old and 26-year-old were arrested after police launched an operation to track down the man's assailants amid scenes of violent disorder ahead of Liverpool's clash with Roma.

wasn't it great to see the rozzers, standing right in front of them, springing into action to arrest those....as earlier warned and stated that they would..... that were blatantly waving flares around as the team bus arrived ey, NOT.

The club and most of the traveling fans behaved impeccably throughout, always a minority of idiots to tarnish that. Hope the chap isn't too seriously hurt.

Minority spoil SO many things in life unfortunately, and then all of us decent reasonable ones suffer greatly.
Of course, they don't give a solitary sh1t for us, just their stinking selfish selves.
