What did and has gone so gleefully right with these two whilst with LFC ey?  Both were good in their past, but somehow, BOTH turned out to be global superstars since joining LFC. Amazing.

We always have the habit of buying a world class player for a reasonable fee: Alonso, Torres, Suarez, Brazilian [oops] and now Mo Salah. Pity they leave us soon. We just need trophies.

Difference is that, these players were not world class when they came to us. The LFC way and culture turned them into these players. You can even throw Macherano's name in the hat too.

That is where I was getting at. I meant somehow we always seem to buy these reasonably priced players, who somehow turn out to be world class players. I agree Mascherano was a world class player when he played for us - no wonder why Barca came calling.
