Guys
Does it really matter at this stage whether we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th this season once we are in the top 4? I know it would be great bragging rights to finish ahead of MANU but given our success in the Champions League we have that anyway.

Certainly have to prioritise the CL whilst we're still in it... only after top 4 is guaranteed though.

Not arsed about 2-4th. As long as it is top 4. We need to concentrate on CL

Psychologically if we get 2nd it'll be a huge boost for next seasons campaign and it will almost certainly end Maureen's reign at Old Toilet.
Part of me wants us to achieve 2nd place but the other part wants to see Maureen spunk another load of money on mercenaries with no loyalty to him or Old Toilet and for them to fall off the football map!
It depends how much FSG wants us to be successful next season though. If we finish 2nd the clamour from fans will be to spend more money to have a team that can challenge Man City for the PL. If we finish 4th, FSG will see it as a gulf we can't bridge in one transfer window and that they'd want to spend less.
The facts are at the end of this season we should have earned plenty in revenue for our CL & PL exploits and we should be in a much stronger position than we have ever been in a long, long time. Our ability to attract the best players around should be at an all time high in the PL era. But with that will be the inevitability of our transfer, wage and bonus structures to increase and we've been around long enough to know with FSG that the likelihood of them changing is slim to none. Our best hope is that Klopp can unearth some cheap gems that will boost us immediately. I just can't see VVD type of money being spent anytime soon on any one player.

Not feeling overly confident with our run in with the relegation sides that are going to be fighting for their very continued existence in the Prem. Just sayin' .

I expect us to start resting players in the upcoming games against WBA and Stoke, with the Roma games in mind. I think we'll drop points so I feel we'll come 4th.

We can“t afford to lose points at W Brom if Chelsea wins in the week.

If we win the CL, this would the best season we've ever had in many years. Even better than the 2005 season.
