Mmm. I have thought the same.
Manure falling from grace as Fergie left, and now a few years later suddenly all the 'Dipper hate' comes popping up from Man City fans... Well our local fans are not doing better, in fact those idiots did worse with their bus 2 days back. Yep, the fans who attacked the bus are not real fans and do not represent Liverpool fans, I don't understand what motivated them? I have never heard of Liverpool fans attacking a team bus, it's more like what you associate with the mad Ultras in Italy & Turkey. The bitterness to Liverpool has been there a few years, since the 2013/14 season I have noticed it, as that year we went head to head for the title. LFC fans aren't all angels, I'm afraid. It's too bad, it almost takes the gloss off a beautiful night for us. I wish there wasn't a distraction from the fact we pasted them.

I agree, every major club has some low life fans, including us, but they do not represent the majority of fans, unfortunately this plays into the stereotype allot of media has for Liverpool and it's fans. By behaving as they did, we gave City the opportunity to use an excuse for the pasting they got on the pitch, don't blame them, we would have said the same, it must have been pretty unsettling to be in the middle of that on the coach, fair play to De Bruyne who said it was no excuse.

Reading about this and it sounds out of the ordinary where fans lined the streets on the way to Anfield, purposely trying to locate Man City Coach and going after it with bottles, stones and they had flares...this sounds like a paid for demo?

There's been some 'orrible basket Old Toilet fans in recent years doing some reprehensible stuff. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they find out that some these trouble causers are not actually Liverpool fans but Old Toilet fans who'd set out to cause a scene. An orchestrated mob?

Apparently it was all over social media that the city Coach was to be attacked and it happened before to city in 2014. I was on train to Liverpool last sat and was full of city fans going to goodison they were quite menacing (kept my mouth firmly shut) and I overhead some say about reception for liverpool fans at eithad this was before the bus incident. It does sound organised pity this is coming back into football again. I don't believe it was united fans Liverpool have more than their share of houligans believe me

It does strike as being odd, why now v Citeh, a team / fans we've not really had any problems / trouble with in all the years I've been a fan of Liverpool. Why wasn't there any of this in the last round v Porto or maybe Sevilla in the group stage or any of the games between us & Citeh in the league? I just find this all rather convenient in stirring up trouble where there has never been before. Who does this suit most? possible fans banned, club fine and days maybe weeks of bad press?

There is a video going round of a Liverpool fan in the home end of emptyhad.
He gets battered by about 5 people.
Still. We cracked a window on their bus.
