What a player he has turned out to be for us.

Scored more goals this season for us than he ever scored for arsenal I think.

Midfield. Wing. Supporting attack.

His work rate and his dribbling have really caught me by surprise because I thought he was a bit crap when we bought him.

Only problem is his inconsistency

Shoutout to my Ox.... grin

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

In all competitions:

09/10: 0 goals 0 assists (Southampton in League 1)
10/11: 10 goals 9 assists (Southampton in League 1)
11/12: 4 goals 3 assists
12/13: 2 goals 5 assists
13/14: 3 goals 6 assists
14/15: 3 goals 5 assists
15/16: 2 goals 5 assists
16/17: 6 goals 11 assists
17/18: 5 goals 5 assists

Based on those stats I'd say he is a bit better than uses to be. And I do think he is making a bigger impact with us than what he has previously done at Arsenal.

Yeah the Ox is looking like he might yet reach Liverpool standard, needs to do it on a more consistent basis though.

Didn't know that, looks like 16/17 was not bad from a full back position.

Yes. Not too bad.

But wasn't it more wingback than fullback in all honesty?

And from the top of my mind I'd say he also played some games in midfield.

Fairly good season though, and he will need to push on now to replicate it with us this year.

I have a feeling he's going to be great for us over the next few years. It's a massive bonus that he seems to be a nice guy too and not a complete nob like a lot players these days.

Yes have to agree that he has been very good for us. I was also very vocal about why the hell he was signed for us but performances like last night and you seem to start seeing the whole picture. Clearly left out v Palace with the game last night in mind after the international break.

He is a goal threat from distance and has done the business twice v Man City this season although he has a thing about not performing v Scumchester. Klopp has got the best out of him and he now looks like a very good signing. He gives us a bit more of a direct approach than Can, Wij, Milner or Henderson.
