I'm hearing rumours that Can wants 200k a week and that Citeh are now sniffing around him.

He wants that because he knows we won't offer it.

He will he off to a really good side after the world cup.

Which really good side? He is no world beater, is he?

Anyone else think Can is going to another Premiership club? If he was going to Juventus surely it would have been announced by now? I can see him ending up in Manchester.

I can see him going to another Premier league club, as you say he could pre-sign for Juve at anytime since January, they have already made comments to that effect and given him deadlines, I think he is playing teams off each other, hoping someone like Real Madrid come in for him, but he's not good enough, if he ends up somewhere like that, he will just be cover in the squad as he was a free transfer.

Maybe he's banking on a big WC, Germany are one of the favourites, if he's playing for them and wins the WC, he might get the move.

I don't see him at Man City, he's not dynamic enough for them, maybe he thinks he can replace Fernadinho who's 32 now?

I can see him at City, Fernandinho is getting on like you say and this will surely be Yaya Toure's last season with them? Gundogan is a great player but injury prone so it leaves room for a player like Can.

he's definitely biding his time to see what offers are coming in, but I don't think it means he's wanting a move to a PL team, there's not many teams in PL atm that have better prospects than us, City really like you say, he maybe trying to drive up the offer from us?

He ain't getting £200k a week from us. He won't get it anywhere else either. He is barely worth £100k a week even in the market today. I think he is scared of moving on and has backed himself into a corner by listening to his agent too much.

His agent won't get anything of the fee but he can get part of his wages or cut a deal with a new club for trading him around like a piece of meat.

We are the biggest club he could play for realistically and whatever he thinks Juventus and Man City are not bigger clubs. Perhaps he may realise how big a club we are when we shock everyone and win the CL. Perhaps that would be a good time to tell him to fukk off. I like him as a player but this holding the club t ransom nonsense has to stop. We have already signed a player for next season who is earmarked as starting ahead of him. Ox will be starting ahead of him week in week out next season as will any high profile player we get to replace Coutinho. A fully fit Lallana starts ahead of him. Why on earth would we offer him £200k a week to warm the bench?
