Depends who we can get a reasonable fee for so we can replace, since the squad can't get any smaller.
Mignolet, Ings, Lovren, Origi. - Might get half decent fees and we can replace with GK, CB, CF.
Milner will stay, seems to be playing an important role this year.
Sturridge - will anyone pay anything for him?? Big wages, perma-injured.
Moreno we'll get a fee for but who's LB cover, Milner...?

Clyne was arguably the best RB in the league before his injury so to dump him out so quick despite us not having a natural RB would be strange. He needs to stay.

I thought Ings looked active in that cameo the other day there, and to be fair to the lad he hasn't had much of a chance, so unless we're going to sign two more forwards, I'd be inclined to give him another season, and he's still young enough for that. Personally I'm more interested in who and what quality level we bring in rather than who we ship out. Having said that though, I'd sell Migs, Lovern, Lallana, and Sturridge.

I hope Ings still has a future with us, part of the problem of bringing in a forward is the player will look at our front 3 and think I aint gonna get many games, but someone like Ings will be happy to sit on the bench as part of th squad and take his chance when it comes.

We need a new right back. I think there is more to that ‘back injury’ the club are letting on. He’ll be gone in the summer. Trent and Gomez have been decent but we need better. Robbo and vvd have been fantastic. Lovren needs to be bombed out. Need a Rb, CB, striker. Goalkeeper I’m undecided. Would like better options in midfield to go alongside Keita Lots of rumours around Clyne, so don't know what to think, but as a player, he is still the best RB at the club as long as he comes back the same pre-injury player, he is the best RB defender and can get forward, but his final ball is often poor. I see Klopp moving Gomez to CB over the next few seasons to partner VvD(maybe next season?) so that leaves RB for Clyne & TAA, Clyne still has a few years left in him, that gives us 2 quality RB.

Nah, Clyne hasnt ever been that convincing for me. He's older, spent a whole season injured. So it's unlikely he's gonna hit the ground running if he does come back into the team. He wasnt exactly a world beater when he was fit. He was never ever part of a stellar defence. Put it this way, if he hasnt been missed all that much when we've had to play Trent and Gomez who are both inexperienced young lads one of which is out of position, that should tell you all you need to know. Get rid and we can finally say goodbye to the last piece of the brendan rodgers defence. I agree with Gomez going to CB, I worry a little about his height though. I'd rather another top quality proven CB with a bit of nastiness about him. Clyne is 26, hardly getting old, just approaching his peak, but it does depend how he comes back from injury. Clyne has been our best defender for me over the last 5-6 years, he's had to play alongside all these dodgy defenders in Lovren, Moreno, Migs etc and he's been pretty consistently good, so that shows you how good a defender he is in my book. I agree Gomez needs too toughen up abit and get stuck in, I hope that will come with experience, he's 6'2in tall, so that's big enough, look at Ronaldo, he's probably one of the best headers of a ball I have seen, who regularly outjumps much taller defenders and he's 6'1in, so that's about technique, rather than height.

We have missed him this season despite the emergence of TAA who is better going forward but suspect defensively. How many goals have we conceded from a straight forward long ball or cross into our right back area? Gomez has been culpable a number of occasions as well.

Not been convinced by either of them Chris, one thing Clyne gives you is some solidity on that side albeit useless going the other way.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

He's been gone so long that we probably forget how much we miss him.
I'd like TAA to still be given a lot of playing time though even if clyne comes back.
