All this makes Gerard's 'little debacle' in a wine bar in Southport a few years ago, pale into almost insignificance.

You know, taking the celebrity out of it. Gobbing out of a car window at someone is something you'd expect of a 20 something year old given the goading but for a 40 year old bloke to do this, it's incomprehensible.
As a Brit, this is the kind of action you'd expect from a 'knob head grunt' from the classless end of society. Not from someone in the media with responsibilities and iconic status.
Being an ex Liverpool player, he's been goaded all his professional life. This is something that he should be more than used to and certainly something he should be emotionally equipped to handle. Unlike Gerrard, he never really 'lost' it on the pitch which makes this action even more surprising.
If acting like this forms part of his personal, 'off camera', profile, Then he really can't be as decent as most of us thought. He is certainly not worthy an ambassadorial role in ANY capacity.
As much as I don't like Lineker's opinions on some subjects, his professionalism is to be admired and good example of how to handle being trolled.
In short, Carra's a pr1k and Sky would do better to sack him rather than just suspend him in hope that he will be able to resume his duties once this all dies down.

I am not condoning what Carra has done but 5 or 10 years ago this sort of incident would have been swept under the carpet, after a public apology...but now every fcuker on the internet not an LFC fan will crucify him and go after him via his employers and any financial interests, just because he is a successful white hetrosexual man, the most vilified subject of the now! Ron Atkinson would disagree with you on this.

Went into The Morrisons last Friday.
Gang of interbred schoohell girls aged about 14 I guess, standing outside the main entrance, f'in and blindin', loudly.
I disgustedly asked them to tone it down as their were loads of kids with their mothers going in and out of the store.
One of them just glared at me, cleared her scrawny throat, and then 'gob dropped' a load of snotty gob right in front of me.
I was SSSSO tempted to slap her in the face, but just resisted.
I merely commented, "how charming. You're parents would be SO proud of you.

I just think it's thecsociety we live in now where things get reported that wouldn't of ten years ago...all those people saying how can anybody trap Carragher and then film him then take credit well am sure there would be plenty of Liverpool fans taking credit for exactly the same thing if they got Beckham or Cantona into trouble like this...
