klopp seems to have a blindspot for really pathetic defenders, kept faith with moreno for ages, now lovern, prob be karius next season. only reason we lost was jose knew lovern was crap.

kloppy tends to give far too much benefit of the doubt and time to these losers unfortunately. It's a very nice admirable caring trait, nursing and guiding these employees, but as we've now eventually seen, Mingo and possibly even Marina , may have been bombed out. Just wish and hope that Lovren has also been given and lost his final chance, as the clock is ticking for this top 4 finish. Please stop being 'Mr Nice guy' Jergen. Enough is enough.

EVERYBODY knows it!  I just don't get it. HE was the main reason we stupidly lost yesterday. I truly believe we could have scraped a draw playing completely without him, and playing with just 10 players yesterday.

Moureen pretty much admitted they targeted Lovren and TAA, I'm not Lovren's biggest fan and think he shouldn't be our first choice CB, but we can't just blame him, why didn't Klopp setup with VvD playing against Lukaku, why didn't VvD get hold of Lovren after he lost the first header with Lukaku and say I'm picking him up, as a team we need to be more cute, we can't just blame Lovren as he is not as big and strong as VvD.

agree. as Growler has already pointed out, Klopp is too kind ... gives far too many chances to underperformimg players.

How Lovren keeps getting games for us is beyond a joke now. His performance in the first half was terrible, he was weak and timid which you cannot be in that position. Then in the second half, when we are chasing the game, he decides to hack Fellaini twice, giving Utd exactly what they wanted in running the clock down through a free kick. Where was that aggression in the first half and why give away a needless foul which played straight into their hands.

I would rather see Matip playing than Lovren but VVD should have taken control and marked Lukaku after the first goal went in. Even if you can't win the header against him, lean into him and put him off, do something, Lovren did nothing.
