TAA should have gone down early in the 2nd half when Rashford flew in at him, he'd have got a 2nd yellow and the possibility we could have gone on to get at least a draw. He's still a lot to learn TAA and it might be best to put somebody else in for the next couple of games because Maureen exposed a weakness other teams will try and expose.

I'm ultimately disappointed with the result but not gonna go too doom and gloom as I suspect a few on here might...

UTD defended well and time wasted effectively. We ultimately need to learn how to break teams down who defend like this. However we don't win many at old tractor and haven't today. Heads up and move forward redmen, bigger games to come this season!

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

I hope this shows Klopp why he shouldn't play Dejan Lovren much more.

The man is a total wreck at the big occasions. This game (or more specifically the first half) he looked almost like he did in our away game against Spuds. Totally lost, and that set Manure up for their goals.

TAA didn't help much either, especially at the first goal. Up buying bangers and mash in the stands when Rashford just swept him away!

Poor first half, better in second but as you put it the second half was A textbook Mourinho stink out, I think about 15 minutes of football was actually played in that second half and it's always the same against him.

I think our defence has been found out again here, they hardly put a foot wrong at the back.

Mourinho outthought Klopp its as simple as that united deserved the win great first goal from rashford teams were fairly even maybe we were slightly better but we lost and created few chances and that was the plan and it worked perfectly

Not surprised by the result or overly disappointed. TAA is too naive and lovren is not good enough. Can’t carry players at this level. Top 4 is the target but given we have to play Chelsea away I’m not optimistic about our chances. We still need to replace coutinho and buy a xabi alonso type midfielder.

I know the stats might make it look that we were well in the game especially with the corner kick count but just feel that didn't tell the story, United allowed us to control a lot of possession but if you look at it closely we ne really had hardly any clean cut chances where's United seemed to be able to cut us open at will especially in the first half and especially with the Mata chance.
The worrying thing is our defence still looks awful, I mentioned in an earlier thread that Lukaku needed a big game and although he never scored I just felt like he bullied our back four especially first half. It seems people getting carried away with recent defensive performances have again yielded yet another false dawn,
Anyway I think that's United home and hosed for second place now and the defeat has got the top flour place up for grabs again if Spurs and Chelsea win, let's see how it goes...

I don't think they fully deserved as we were denied at least 1 penalty, so you are talking shyte again

Yes his tactics worked but were denied at least 1 penalty. That one on Mane was more flagrant than the 2 we conceded against Spurs

When you start the "we wus robbed" mantra you know you are scraping the barrel.
