I want to be really positive about our chances in Europe this season. We've got a manager with great pedigree in the competition.

I think I can sum up our team as an amazing attack - may be the best in the competition, average midfield, inconsistent defence and probably the worst keeper in the competition based on what I've seen in the past (or may be the Porto keeper is even worse?).

Watching Wijnaldum is almost painful. He looks slow both physically and in his thought processes. We've got workhorses but where's the player with quality, ingenuity or subtleness to complement our much of a muchness midfield players we've already got?

I am still in doubt about Robertson's quality. Karius doesn't appear the answer but I'm yet to write him off completely. But taking our fab three out of the equation, do we have a team competitive enough to win the competition?

I believe we've got an outside chance.

How far will Liverpool go in Europe?

Depends entirely on the draw.

Robertson was immense. The whole defence was impressive. Milner did well in the middle and the front three were super, particularly Robbie. I can't imagine what went wrong with Porto though. They were totally gutless.

We've just won 5-0 away from home in the Champions League knockout game and a thread has been started expressing concerns after the game in question!

Utterly ridiculous.

No not ridiculous, just unhappy that we are doing better than under his mate Brendan who was utterly awful in Europe. He also prefers Mignolet and Moreno because they were bought by Brendan. Very logical and consistent from this poster.

That's a fair point, remember when he was adamant Simon Mignolet should be made permanent LFC captain? laugh crazy
