Great performance, nice to see Mane bang in a hat trick, Milner had an excellent game, VvD has really helped improve the defence, Karius didn't need to do much, but games like these build his confidence and understanding with the defence.

Now we got 10 days off, from the commentary they said they were staying out there for 5 days warm weather training, rain looked like the NW !!! hopefully the break will help rest the players and set us up for the remaining games.

Karius was mostly untested, but I was really pleased with how he threw himself at that Porto player who was through towards the end. It was ruled offside, so it didn't matter, but he looks so much more confident.

I would have settled for 5 nil before kick off.

We can basically field a reserve side in the next leg to rest for United. Great result.

Funnily enough I thought Mane was having a poor game.

I though the same, his touch and decision making were awful first half even after his goal. I think it's just a confidence thing as he still works hard and never hides but hopefully this will help him and he looked more like the player from last season in the second half.
