Just seen Ozil signed a new deal worth 350k a week. Stunned.

Surely a bigger team would've offered him an immense deal on a free transfer?

Not a bad window for Arsenal as it turns out.

There wasn't a queue of teams willing to pay Ozil £350K a week, he's a quality player but is too inconsistent and doesn't turn up enough, Sanchez got the money as he delivers goals regularly.

Is £350k a week not immense?! He plays well once in every 6 or 7 games. I can't believe Arsenal wanted to keep him, let alone break the bank to keep him. Absolute madness.

After losing Sanchez I think they had to break the bank with Ozil to stop the fans revolting. The Arsenal attack still looks extremely strong but you have to wonder why they haven't strengthened defensively and Cech is definitely on the decline as well. They need to get Wilshere signed up to a new contract too!

I think Arsenal are panicking. Aubameyang aged 28, Ozil aged 29, Mkh aged 29. They look like they haven't gone the time to invest in long-term players and develop them into top players like we have done as right now they are struggling.

These three players are all good players but they're not top players in my opinion.

The panic looks to be working, at least in yesterday's game.

Let's see how they do away from home, which is where Arsenal tend to struggle, but they have spent big money/big contracts on players that in 2 or 3 years maybe past it and sat on big contracts, so it's a risk, but Arsenal had to do something with Sanchez going, swapping him for Mkhitaryan was great business.

Klopp knows both players very well from Dortmund, so I think we have to acknowledge that if anyone can judge them and their value, he can.

He said he didn't like signing ex players because he cannot improve them more...I thought he was buying players to improve the team, not to improve the players. I am sure Aubameyang would have improved our team as he is a better striker than Firmino who could be as good as Coutinho in the midfield.

I don't know what you are basing this on. Firmino is ineffective every single time he plays for us anywhere other than striker. To suggest he could be like Coutinho in central midfield is laughable, they are completely different players.

Firmino's natural position was number 10 before he started playing striker for us. Look at his position you will see he spends a lot of time closer to the centre with both Salah and Mane ahead of him. Coutinho hasn't excelled in the middle, his best position has been on the left, Klopp has been trying to convert him in a more central position since the arrival of Salah who moved Mane on the left. You can laugh if you want, doesn't mean you have exclusivity on the truth.
