We are in a similar position to Spurs. We have our front 3 and won't splash out millions on a squad player when we all know which starts up top when fit.

I'm not really impressed by him. He's a good finisher but the thing is, dortmund is set up to play for him. Most of his goals are tap ins and he's the main pen taker as well which inflates his stats. We have no problem scoring goals. Firmino offers more to the team. Ironically I think someone like Suarez is probably our ideal forward. Someone who presses and harries but can also finish. Yes but Suarez is not on the transfer market and Aubameyang doesn't score only from tap ins. Who would play when Firmino is off sick?

So you want to buy him as a sub? No, to rotate. Was Coutinho a sub?

No but neither was he a striker and it wasnt like we didnt have a crop of attacking midfielders to rotate with Phil. If Aubamayang moves it would be only to a club where he's considered first choice and be on first choice wages. I wouldnt have him as first choice over firmino I suppose is the point I'm making. We hardly have first choices in the team as Klopp rotates a lot. Who do we have to rotate with Firmino as C.F.? Solanke, maybe Sturridge and probably Ings? Is that comparable quality?

Firmino is rarely rotated.

Because we don't have a better striker than him. In any case he always drops back to get the ball and his position was number 10 before he came to us.

We haven't played with a 'number 10' type player for a long time.

We haven't played with a 'number 10' type player for a long time. Indeed. That said, Firmino doesn't play as a true number 9, he is always tracking back and passes the balk. I think he will be a too number 10 with a top number nine in front of him.
