Good buys but one cost 42 million and the other 8 million,one looks an inspired buy and the other average(young enough to develop more though) but we are hardly talking pennies here are we even in the current market!

Matip, Firmino, Salah, Robertson, Joe Gomez Klaven to an extent, Couthino bought for 8.5m sold for 142m. Sterling bought for peanuts sold for 49m. Some well thought out posts in the thread. Would you expect any less in here? Yet you still read them.

To be fair, since PSG bought Neyma the resale value of every player has gone up so using this in the future is going to be tricky. I guess it depends on what you expect from a scout. If it's about a % return (the good old F$G way) then the scouts have done a good job, especially after the sale of Phil. Club silverware though, is something else.

My point is that our academy is not a source pool of talent for the 1st team and to think we can improve it to make it more 'useful' in this respect then we'd have to be more attractive than Man City's.
Like it's first team squad, it's well documented that Man City has invested millions into it's academy, far more than we have. Not sure how mentioning this means I'm bragging, but hey ho.

We’ve given more youngsters a chance than they have without spending the millions they have so as a youngster looking for first team opportunities, I’d say we are already a better prospect. But academies will never be the feeding ground they once were as everyone likes instant success so clubs will be forced to buy. Only the very rare few will be given enough of a go in any top teams first team to make it.

You didn't ask any questions, you jumped in on a reply that wasn't to you, although looking through your posts generally, I shouldn't be surprised as this is pretty much what you do. As far as abuse is concerned, you need to grow a pair if you consider being called obnoxious abusive, or was it being called a ghost ..... BOO !! This is the second time you have implied that I shouldn't be on this forum. To some, this could be considered bullying. Personally, I couldn't give two flucks what you want, mate. This is a forum were views and 'vents' are expressed and debated, and for the most part, this is what happens here, although some members see themselves as self appointed custodians and rather than debate, prefer to ridicule, point score and embarrass. As in life generally, there's plenty of children to be found amongst adults I guess.

I was going to ask the same question that Vish did so just thought I would through his asking. This is an open forum as far as I know and if I want to reply to anything I think I'm allowed? Is that right? The fact you jumped straight in both times with calling me abnoxious and asking if I have a house to haunt somewhere says more about your own flakeyness than anything else. So maybe take some of your own advice and grow a pair?

Oh please get a life pal,I see why people avoid posting here having to deal with nit-pickers like you...Matip is without doubt an average player full stop,Firmino cost 25 million hardly cheap but proving value,Robertson average player who is only getting his place because Moreno is injured and that is self explanatory,Coutinho(learn to read I mentionned him initially) and Sterling wonderful returns on investment but we cannot keep this level of player because our overall development has been too slow over the years.Hopefully Klopp will stay long enough to get a decent squad together sooner rather than later but it is so difficult to do that now the way the market is so inflated.By the way the fact that you think Klavan is good enough to play for Liverpool made me laugh you complete and utter pleb!
