the thing i have noticed treps is the people who were celebrating the most over the last weeks are the same people acting like they're gonna jump in front of a train any day now...

i will remain positive (im not naive though) and i think this mess will get sorted sooner or later.

'course it will Swedio. It's natural for folk to cling onto every little snippet and tale that comes our way, but it can be so 'dangerous' too.
Hopes built up and then dashed. Horrible.

I'd personally rather hear absolutely no more about any of this until those two fat tw@ts are well and truly gone, new owner announced on the day it happens, and the same goes for the new manager too.
It's no wonder so many are seemingly getting so uptight and anxious.
The quacks surgery must be doing overtime for stress related illness's at the mo....nowt to do with wanting a bira time off to watch the owld W.C mind. whistle

This is one of my first posts... Long time reader, first time poster.
I have no idea how this whole summer is going to go. At the moment it is looking bleak. However what I do know is the last couple of weeks has given us all the hope and dream that things could come good. It may not, but right now after a really hard season, at least we have hope back. Thanks Dunk for giving us the hope and you never know what will happen. At the end of the day there are going to be lots of ups and downs as negotiations go on. Let's keep our heads up and look at the whole 2 - 3 weeks rather than the last 24 hours

Hicks will not let RBS take the club he has too much to lose, he is playing poker and will sell the club at the very last min he can.

He does not have to sell yet so he can say he wants £800m but as they approach the date the loan has to be repaid he will be forced to engage all the banks to see if anyone will lend them the money for another 12 - 18 months.
If he can't get a new loan from the banks he will be forced to sell the club to the highest bidder in order to repay their loan.

He will not want to go into administration as he and his muppet
will loose the £100m loan plus interest £100m that they have loaded onto the LFC balance sheet.

If they sell the club for for the min amount to pay the banks back the new owners would then have to clear the loan to Hicks and Gillett on our balance sheet for which this cash would go straight into their pockets.

If we sell Gerrard and Torres the bank may call in the debt as they may feel that the asset is not worth as much as the loan,
However if that went straight off the loan as a capital repayment the bank may be satisfied if it considered the remaining players plus the ground was worth more than the new value of the loan.

If people stopped going to games and buying goods from LFC and we started to sell players to pay our loan interest then H&G would be de valuing the club and the bank may call in the debt.

I agree with Dunk we need to put the pressure on RBS not to extend the current loan deal by demonstrating outside branches of RBS handing out leaflets eg. "RBS funds Liars" "RBS the Liars Bank" etc

I have been doing some thinking over night

I am for the first time not buying the new Liverpool shirt (i don't think ngog has the same ring as Torres)

I am also not going to any games (why pay over the top money, esp if the star players wont be there)

I know on its own wont mean too much but it will clear my mind that i am not putting money into then fat greedy american pockets.

flyering outside banks won't work. look at the state of the world economy... if they were worried about public relations they wouldn't still be getting bonuses and such.

if you want to put pressure on the banks it'll take something more high profile, media embarrassment. petrol bombs, a mass sit in at their HQ (in front of cameras), a human sacrifice (david moyes?) in their lobby. instead of jamming the mail server at RBS, with "give us back our club" letters, they clearly don't care by the way, maybe jam the mail server of every media outlet in britain with similar letters, they love a good story... maybe every phone-in show should be guerilla'd by angry fans.

give a list of demands:

1. give us back our club. 2. give us back our club. 3. give us back our club. 4. sell lucas and ngog 5. GIVE US BACK OUR FECKING CLUB!

if our demands are not met in 3 days, forget robbing their houses like what usually happens, start kidnapping members of the first team at random and knee-capping them. racing round melwood in a transit van and a ski mask, taking away degen for example. one bullit to the back of the knee, "au revoir waster" and the wage bill lightens. high speed it to anfield, f**k him out the side of it, bloodied and unconscious. and do it again tomorrow... see how high up the playing staff you get before they start to listen to fan frustration then. (my guess is kyrgiakos - the big man is their enforcer once he is eliminated the hicks and gillett empire will crumble like a tower of jenga!)

anyway my point is something bigger than letters and not buying a jersey is needed... even then i doubt how successful it would be. these lads (banks and yanks) are experts in f**king people over. most of my friends and family are recently unemployed due to the f**king banks, there is little we can do.

there'll still be club to support regardless.

rant over
