no matter who the manager is, the likelyhood is that we need a few seasons to get ourselves sorted under a new boss/ new owners, stevie is 30 and he just doesnt have that amount of time left.
in my own opinion the failure of benitez broke him. 6 years played out of position with poor players and no premiership medal to show for it. he needs something fresh. thats the problem with todays football tho aint it? kidso n the street would give up everything to play for liverpool and everybody wants to win trophies but playing for liverpool doesnt matter if you have played for us for 10 years should be more important if you are a liverpool fan and love the club, look at alan shearer he could of went to man utd won the prem multiple times but no he went to the club he loves. Alan Shearer gave up the chance to be recognised as being world class by snubbing United to go to his belovered Newcastle, you can only get that tag by winning the games major honours and being special doing it, Shearer should of left the game with five league championships and at least two european cups had he signed for United, what a waste of talent.

Alan Shearer did no wrong by playing for his beloved Magpies. His performances at Newcastle were just superlative and am not sure his heart would have been there at United playing for Ferguson. Sometimes it is not about winning trophies..you could see it on Shearer's face that he loved running his socks off for Newcastle, same goes for Totti at Roma,Carra and Steven Gerrard until last coupla years..
