Brilliant tonight for Athletico. We should throw money at him. At 24 he could be our keeper for the next 10 years.

Add a top CB and we’d be a lot more solid.

i cant say i have watched him play but if we are going to buy a pl keeper then butland would be my choice

I would love him here.

Butland is nowhere near Oblak, who for me is the best GK in the world with Neuer injured, may be better than De Gea but his style is more Neuer.

Ulreich played a blinder for Bayern last night. I would like to have him on-board.

My shopping list for Jan/Summer would be:

Goretzka
Aubameyang/Werner

Can (I’d like to keep but don’t see it happening - Goretzka would be the replacement)

I think Oblak and Goretzka are out of our league to be honest.

Oblak was an expensive keeper at about 24mil so he is gonna be going for twice that now. The only thing we have going for us is that no other top team needs a goalkeeper

Goretzka will end up at Barca or Juventus. He's a free transfer so everyone will be in for him.

While Oblak is a very good keeper, when I have watched him (not often), his distribution with his feet would not suit our style. I would be a little wary as Atletico are a defensive counter attack style, we are very attacking.

I think the market is going crazy.

Oblak may cost over 60M nowadays.

For Goretzka, I think our only chance is Klopp. There are quite a lot of bundesliga's star fancy the chance to play under his management. However, if we made some stupid offer of GBP100K a week (and probably in relation to bonus) to him, we got no chance. We need at least to match the salary offers made by other teams first.

Oblak is a top quality goalkeeper and Atletico have always had great keepers in recent years, with Courtois and De Gea before him.

However Atletico sit very deep which means he doesn't play as a sweeper keeper which he would need to do for us. Still, he's definitely more commanding than our keepers which would be an immediate improvement!
