Is it a fair video?

Good Video, he is a problem and more so against teams that sit back at Anfield. Squad player we need better if we are to move forward. Add Wijnaldum into that as well

Hard to argue with anything there. Hendo would be a very good squad player to have, but shouldn’t be in our starting 11.

With Keita arriving in the summer, if we could add a kante type then our midfield would be great

I have watched games and thought geez that player was brilliant or this player was shytte and then someone shows me stats that show the opposite. I just assess a player by his contribution as team player when he has the ball and when he does not have the ball. To me the The video highlights the many things that Henderson can not do. We have a midfielder and captain who cannot shield the ball, cannot turn with the ball, cannot turn an opponent and cannot dictate play.

Balance?

I don't think he should be captain and I also don't think he should be guaranteed a first-team position. He's one of the most hardworking midfielder's in the premier league, which is why I still think he should be a squad player, but if we are to challenge for titles he doesn't have footballing intelligence or skills to lead trophies. I'm sure things will change with the introduction of Keita.

I agree, Henderson is a decent player and we have enough games that he should be playing in the squad, but he shouldn't be captain, we should be bringing in better quality players, like we are with Keita, which then force out players like Henderson.

Squad player sure but starting eleven, not good enough.

I wouldn't base my opinion of Henderson on that video of selective passes from a handful of games. You can select snapshots from selective videos to make any player look brilliant or look shyte. Same with Stats! However we've seen enough with our own eyes to know that Henderson is just average to good, which by definition means he's not good enough for us if we have any ambition. But of course fact that's he's our team captain tells us all we need to know about our ambition. People complain about our defence and rightly so but seldom seem to realise that much of our defensive woes have their origin in an very average midfield contingent of players, including Henderson, Wynaldum, and Can. Is it any wonder we have defensive problems?
