Loris is certainly no worse in my opinion than De Gea. Pickford is good but he’s young and English so adds at least a third to his price. I’d rather have Butland if we’re going to go that route as for me he’s looked consistently better than Pickford. I think De Gea is a better keeper than Lloris, De Gea saves Man Utd so many goals with his reflexes, Lloris is also playing behind a much better defence than De Gea, both excellent keepers, but De Gea is better IMO. I'd love to have either rather than the mediocre options we have, watching the equaliser yesterday, Migs got his fingers on it but didn't manage to push it over, there didn't appear to be much power on the shot as it floated over, so no idea why if he got a touch he couldn't push it over? maybe i'm being harsh, but I suspect if De Gea was in our goal, that wouldn't have gone in. your right DeGear is a better goalkeeper than Lloris although Lloris is a good goalkeeper too, why the poster judges how good a goalkeeper on by how many goals he lets in is quite baffling because as you so rightly mention the goalkeeper might play behind a water tight defence but might be average overall. But you did back up my point.

Look at Pickford, he's part of a relegated team and gets a record move to Everton and an England cap? logically that doesn't make sense, looking at him at Everton, looks like people may have been giving him to much leeway with the Sunderland defence in front of him.

Some of the best goalkeepers have come from teams who let in loads of goals or had poor defences in front of them, Peter Schmichael at United always let in more goals than David Seaman yet Schmichel was the greatest goalkeeper ever to put gloves on in our English game and I can remember going back to keepers like Peter Shilton came out of the second division to Forest and Tim Flowers always let loads in at Southampton before he moved for a record fee to Blackburn.

Oh ok, just so I know...according to what you just said we are judging how good a goalkeeper is by how many goals he has let in, so the Man City goalkeeper is better than De Gear, and Forster is better than Scmichael and last season the best goalkeeper in the League was Lloris at Spurs.
Ok I got that. Please feel free to show where I have said anything like that, just because you are losing a debate doesn't mean you can make things up to distract from your own posts failings.

I think Lloris, the Chelsea one and DeGear are three of the best in the League and I quite like the City one as he is doing good things too.

I've made a mockery of your comments on a number of occasions, no matter how much you try and ignore the facts. As for goalkeepers, Lloris, De Gea and Courtois are the best in the league, there is very little to choose between the 3 of them although if I had to pick one it would Courtois, purely because his command of his area is absolutely superb, his height helps. Ederson at City looks good but it's still early days.
