Sounds Promising. But if we sign no decent players and we hear the bullsheet about how difficult the transfer market is, or the other one about how there are no players available better than we already have, then I shall be quite cross indeed.

Mike Gordon has appeared to pour cold water on Liverpool’s transfer hopes for January already in quotes reported by the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds had an okay summer window with Mo Salah arriving but we also wanted to see the likes of Virgil van Dijk come through which of course did not happen.

Instead, then, we’re looking at January as a potential time for new players but it would seem as though it is going to be hard to try and get anyone in that can make a difference.

As quoted by the Echo, Gordon said:

“The availability of players in the January window is continuing to diminish, it’s now an anomaly if you’re able to do something…”

This is not exactly music to our ears and it suggests that our transfer plans are going to be limited this season.

January has been quiet in recent times, though, so perhaps we should have expected this.

(Barca don’t seem to think that way or citeh etc just depends on your mindset and ambition I feel ) ours is obviously low on both counts giving up before we try even ?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been suspended for the weekend by Dortmund for disciplinary reasons, he saying he has no idea why??? anyways, I bet he will be available in January, we really miss an out and out striker, Sturridge will never be the player he was, Klopp knows him well, he's a lethal finisher and would give us that clinical finisher we have been missing.

I was surprised that no one went in for him over the Summer, it seemed like he was available for 60-70m. A bargain for the likes City, Real, Barca etc.

Yeah, I though Barca might to replace Neymar, Dortmund look like they would sell, there never seemed to be much interest in him last summer, he said himself a few times he wasn't sure if he'd stay, Dortmund never issued big statements saying he wasn't available etc, I'd like him to come and replace Sturridge, but I doubt FSG would splash out £70 million on a 28 year old with limited sell on value.

Rumors that Little Daniel Studge will be looking to move on in January. I can't see any club paying him anywhere near his current salary.
Except maybe a Turkish or Chinese club perhaps.
