Doesn't stop people from saying we will challenge for the title every year or from losing their minds when we don't win it. Rodgers had his best player sold the year after he finished 2nd, coming closer than we ever have since the last time we won it.

We replaced Suarez with Sh*te, sold our best defender without properly replacing him, and our captain retired without proper replacement, and Rodgers was sacked within a year.

The same thing happened with Benitez. Big Sami retired and Alonso left without proper replacements, and we had no cover for Torres. He was sacked after year of regression and he won an FA cup and a champions league!

Dalglish righted the ship, won a trophy and got to another final, and he was sacked that year!

Klopp got to a European final and a league cup final in half a season, and he got us back into the champions league the next, finishing higher than United and Arsenal. What will firing him solve?

Everytime a manager makes progress at this club, as soon as there is a set-back, he's gone. After Klopp, who can we get that's better? Sacking Rodgers only makes sense with Klopp available.

If history has taught us anything, it's that blowing it up and starting over hasn't worked. Instead of starting another project over, we need to stick to the plan, learn from our mistakes, and keep building. We won't be world beaters this year, but we can have a respectable showing in the CL, maybe a cup run (maybe even an FA cup, who knows), and maybe even qualify again next year. Top 4 and CL footy two years in a row is bloody marvelous progress compared to the state we were in six years ago.

For ONCE Barca came knocking for our best player and we didn't bend over. After being in the desert since 2009 and not remotely relevant in Europe, we have been in the CL 2 out of the last 4 years, and we've been in the Europa league final in one of the others. We're unbeaten in Europe, and we've only lost one league game and we're one point off 4th. The world isn't ending. Let's quit whinging, back the team, and see where the season can go.

Usually it is not the shareholders who are responsible for a company but the management and eventually the directors, not the owners unless it's an owner manager organisation.

Fair enough. But I don't see many congratulating FSG when we win a game yet it's their fault when we don't through p1ss poor defending?

FSG are not passive investors like someone who buys stock market shares they are owner managers they directly appoint the board of directors and they sit on the board themselves john Henry holds almost all the shares. If Tommorrow they wanted to turn LFC into a baseball club or garden centre or supermarket they could do so. The notion FSG are nothing to do with running LFC is a theory with the fairies

Directors are always appointed by shareholders and as much as I know, Henry the majority shareholder doesn't sit on the BoD, does he? Yes he has a big influence as he is the biggest shareholder but it doesn't look to me that he is running the club. Do you think appointing Klopp was a mistake? Who would you have preferred?

In my opinion Klopp was a good appointment but I don't own LFC or run LFC. In terms of FSG I would have thought now is the optimum time to sell unless there is another quantum leap in TV money which does not seem likely or on the horizon the other alternative is to spend big on players and make the club successful and expand the brand but that comes with risk and possible dilution of return so my guess is the time is right for them to cash in. Let's hope so

Let's also hope that someone agrees with their valuation of the club.

And let's also hope that the same person/consortium still have money available to inject some cash into filling the gaping holes in our squad ASAP.

Carragher is trying to take some of the pressure off Klopp, and I commend him for that. However winning the PL must always remain the target for a club like Liverpool, and the fans can play their part by demanding it, and settling for nothing less.
