Yes there are probably wealthy investors out there who are not bothered about recouping there outlay but there are more eye catching clubs to invest in than Liverpool...London Clubs for example.
If I was rich enough to be in the position to buy a club there is no way on earth I would buy one established who has already got previous history in doing well as you would only be adding to what has already been there...I would rather buy one without the fans and glory and turn in into something build my own legacy like Jack Walker, Abramovic at Chelsea or the Monsoor's will in years to come, they took Clubs without real history of winning major trophies instead of buying a United, Liverpool, Madrid or Barca type Club..

For some reasons, I know people dont rate Ox. However, as I mentioned before, we do need some back up in winger. According to the reports, we want Leymar at first but we then go for Ox because he has more C/P ratio.

Most of our transfer fund is well used in the summer:-

Salah - 40M is a bargain and should be the buy of the season.
Solanke - 3M is also a bargain and good addition to the club when we need someone good at headers.
Robertson - 8M is actually a direct swap with Stewart. A bargain again and look good when he features. Klopp wont rush him to the first team as he missed some pre-season game but Robertson and Alberto seems a good pair of LB to us.
Ox - The most controversial purchase in the summer but 34M is not a bad price to me. Considering he is an England national team players who always get premium on his price tag. He is a good back up or rotation for the wingers. We relied too heavily in Mane last season and adding Salah alone is not adequate when we need to play for one more competition this season. We also need some local players in the team in view of the future registration of the 25 players squad.

For me, none of our transfer budgets were wasted. May be some people would disagree about Ox. However, even we didnt buy Ox, who can we get with that 35M?

As some people said, we need a striker, DM, DC and probably a RB for back up.
A classy striker alone would worth much more than that.

What if they are rich enough and also a Liverpool fans?

Besides, you will never know what the rich people preference is. PSG and Monaco are both quite successful club in France but there are new owners want them too. If your logic is correct, they would actually want some weaker clubs like Nante.

They can buy Newcastle to build their own history but it may take them a lot of time to take them to glory. To buy Liverpool and they spend 300M and we can definitely be a real contenders in Europe and they can have instant success.
And, I am sure everyone knows that who can bring the EPL title to us, we will treat them as god. Therefore, I dont think there are no intentions for them to purchase. (Actually, there are always rumours suggesting new owners want to come in and take charge.)

... and there's the problem. Yes, £300 Mill would make a difference but to buy LFC in the first place would cost a Billion at least especially considering the valuation Barca placed on Couthino.

It would take an owner/consortium with extremely deep pockets to be able to do that. In fact, so deep that I don't even think one exists....

I'm a big supporter of #FSGOUT but being honest I'd much rather FSG invest some additional capital as well operating profit.

I hate to say it folks but I would say the chances of us attracting an Arabian sugar daddy or Oil Oligarch who will buy us and match the purchase price with investment are well and truly gone. FSG have made us too expensive.

FSG laid out their store during the very first transfer window after Conolli was turfed out. Some of us could see it but most didn't and even now I still think most fans can't.

I think whoever brings a Premier League title to any club will be treated like a God unless ure United or Madrid, look at Jack Walker the City and Chelsea owners they will never be forgotten. I dont agree with your point that success will take time if you are not already established as Blackburn came out of the second division and won the League within about 4 seasons, Chelsea in one season under Roman but I accept they already had a good team in place, City never tho and they won it in about three seasons when the Sheikhs took over so you deffo don't need to time if you have enough money which is what we've are talking about.
If there are wealthy investors out there I think there are quite a few clubs ahead of us who look more attractive in price and location...I think West Ham, Watford, QPR, Brentford and London Clubs all look better investments due to location and for price I think Leeds United, Newcastle United, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa are all clubs with rich potential...just my opinion...

I think it is easier to buy a club cheap (say 200m) and invest 800m in players to win titles than to buy a club like us for 1 Bn and win titles. If we were making money like United, then yes, there would be a business case. FSG is trying to make us profitable and make us win titles as well but it's not working. I think we will become profitable rather sooner than later with the increased capacity, sponsorship deals and tv money, but I am not sure if this would be good news as the next buyer will have to pay a higher premium and therefore less money to invest in players. Our best chance i think is that FSG does an IPO/rights issue as soon as we become profitable and that money is spent to reinforce the team

Or a billionaire owner could buy a club for £300 Million, give Corbyn like promises to it's fans about silverware and it competitiveness with it's closet rivals only to invest just enough capital to maximise profit and leave the fans squabbling about team performances and wondering where the next trophy is going to come from.

No where have I seen this scenario played out I wonder ?

Yes have to agree with this...those people thinking some rich consortium will buy us are dilluding themselves as that ship has well sailed more chance of the titanic sailing than that happening. I am no great lover of FSG as they put profit before success on the pitch, don't blame them as if I was buying into a sport I couldn't care less about I would probably do the same...the problem is if they did sell we are only going to replace with like for like so what's the point..
The sad thing about it all is our position as the sixth best Club is under serious threat, we have Spurs moving into a state of art new stadium next season, Everton due to move to a 60k seater stadium and the likes of Newcastle reported over the weekend to be taken over imminently by foreign investors, I think the gap between us and the clubs just below isn't as big as people think which they base it purely on historic values so any serious investment in Stoke, West Ham, West Brom or Southampton could easily lead to them overtaking us...not even going to mention if Leeds, Villa or Sheff Wed got sugar daddies...just an opinion I have...
