Klavan a prospect? I think he was 30 when we signed him last Summer.

Yeah Karius is the only real prospect he's bought. At least with Klopp we don't seem to be doing th scatter gun approach to signings that we used to have. Just a shame he's not buying for the right position.

Solanke is a prospect as well and I would even put Ox there if it was not for his price

I think both managers were always going to find themselves under pressure, Koeman because of the money he spent and Klopp for the simple reason this season was always going to find him out because we have Europe this season and the extra games were always going to prove fatal to a team that looked shattered at times last season without Europe....

MERSEYSIDE managers Ronald Koeman and Jurgen Klopp are under growing pressure, according to the bookies.

Both Liverpool and Everton have struggled in recent weeks as the early season promise of the summer fades away.

Liverpool drew their second Champions League match in succession with a 1-1 draw at Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night to leave their chances of making the group stage in doubt.

While Everton are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League and face Apollon Limassol tonight (8.05pm) after losing their first game in the Europa League.

Klopp’s Reds have recorded just one win in their last six games, being knocked out of the EFL Cup and being thrashed at Manchester City.

Koeman’s Toffees beat Bournemouth in their last match but have lost four of their last six outings.

And Ladbrokes are prepared for bets on both managers leaving their jobs before the end of the season by pricing the scenario at 12/1.

Koeman is more likely to be axed first at 2/9, with Klopp at 3/1.

And Ladbrokes aren’t sure the Dutchman will last the season with odds of 11/8 to leave Everton before the end of the current campaign.

German boss Klopp is a longer 9/2 to depart Liverpool before finishing this season.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: "Expectations were high on Merseyside this summer, but with both clubs struggling to mount serious domestic challenges, we wouldn't be surprised to see Klopp AND Koeman pay the price between now and the end of the campaign."

Koeman is under more pressure than Klopp having spent £140million on Gylfi Sigurdsson, Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Wayne Rooney and Davy Klaassen this summer.

But the 54-year-old insists he can handle the pressure at Goodison Park, saying: “The most important thing, and this is for every manager in my opinion, is the connection with the players.

“If you feel you still have that good connection with the players and you think they are committed then that is the key point.

“The rest is all about decisions that don’t belong to the manager.

“I don’t have any reason to doubt my connection with the players at Everton. They are old enough and experienced enough and you get that feeling: Yes or no?”

Don't see it myself. Koeman more likely as he spent a shitte load (showing ambition apparently grin) and their new owner might want his own man in there.

Klopp will be ok for this season but if it turns into a real disaster you never know what will happen next summer.
