I know the old adage is to look at where we are after 10 PL games to get a truer picture of the season ahead. However I thought I'd create this thread ongoing, to show us where we are at for improvement or decline in The Premier League.
Last season:-
GW 1 - Arsenal 3 v 4 Liverpool (3pts)
GW 2 - Burnley 2 v 0 Liverpool
GW 3 - Spurs 1 V 1 Liverpool (1pt)
GW 4 - Liverpool 4 v 1 Leicester (3pts)
GW 5 - Chelsea 1 v 2 Liverpool (3pts)
GW 6 - Liverpool 5 v 1 Hull City (3pts)
League Position 4th - 13 pts - GF 16 / GA 9 = GD 7
This season:-
GW 1 - Watford 3 v 3 Liverpool (1pt)
GW 2 - Liverpool 1 v 0 C Palace (3pts)
GW 3 - Liverpool 4 v 0 Arsenal (3pts)
GW 4 - Man City 5 v 0 Liverpool
GW 5 - Liverpool 1 v 1 Burnley (1pt)
GW 6 - Leicester 2 v 3 Liverpool (3pts)
League Position 5th - 11 pts - GF 12 / GA 11 = GD 1
Next Up:-
GW 7 - Newcastle v Liverpool
Last season:-
GW 7 - Swansea 1 v 2 Liverpool (3pts)
League Position 4th - 16 pts - GF 18 / GA 10 = GD 8

Good for context. The big difference this year is that Arseanal and United haven't been as poor.

The goons havnt been poor ? if Arsenal have been poor this season then so have we surely...aren't we only a point ahead of them?

I think most goons fans would say they have been poor this season and most of our fans would say we have had an average start...so if Arsenal fans say there season has been poor and our fans will say ours is average and we are only a point better off then them that surely means Arsenal have higher expectations as a football club than us doesn't it...

Arsenal were actually above us in 3rd this time last season, albeit on GD. Spurs were in 2nd a point above us and City were in 1st 5 points ahead - after Game Week 6.

In exactly the same fixtures last season we took 10 points so we're more or less the same. Not a surprise really, the starting 11 hasn't really been improved at all.

Let's cut to the chase here...the only reason we got fourth was because Arsenal and United had bad seasons....if they had had there normal seasons we would of finished in our spiritual place which is sixth place...
