As we all know coutinho is going next year they know that VVD is off too.

Whomever penned that whincingly grovelling apology to Southampton, should walk now!
That last sentence ("We respect Southampton's position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player.") has effectively ended any potential title challenge, silverware and has put our CL renewal for next season in grave jeopardy!
As soon as injuries and fatigue begin to bite and they will...our soft underbelly will be exposed AGAIN.

over reaction thread tbh. Where is all this hate for klopp coming from? He doesnt control transfer negotiations or business he identifies targets he wants then the other committee do their best to get them and find the odd player here and there. Literally every player we've bought since klopp so far other than karius have been good signings. We bid more than anyone has EVER bid for a CB in history and the club didnt want to sell. Should we have looked at alternatives? Probably. Regardless, Wind your neck in. Or at the very least level your anger in the right direction. FSG/director of football, the chief executive, the head of recruitment etc. THEY do the negotiating. Not the manager.
True it's not the manager who does the negotiations but the manager should also have options, it's not a toy shop where only one particular toy is the only choice

No hatred just honest objectivity. Who went and had a knowingly illegal meeting with said player?Henry? Gordon? Fallows ?Moore? No it was Klopp and if that had happened to us we would have been furious. The blame sits firmly with Klopp on this farce , he now has 4 months to prepare so that to rectify this in January, I can't believe for a moment that he'll be stupid enough to go chasing van dick again like Southampton will entertain it.

No ones hating on Kloppand yes, he doesn't negotiate. But he does identify targets as you say so why not have options at CB? I'm all for getting VVD but I'm also 100% positive we could've got a better CB than Lovren and Klavan.

Are you telling me that Klopp only has it in him to identify one player for CB? Sorry but that don't wash. The scouts and committee (if it even still exists) will keep doubt come up with players too but for me it'll mostly be Klopp.

I'm not surprised Klopp went player hunting. How are those boys still earning a wage at LFC.
