Somehow, despite all the talk and bids, FSG have managed another reasonably low net spend.

Although I'm glad we kept Coutinho, it panned out how a lot of people on here said it would and were derided for.

Barca messing us about all window didn't help and if they'd offered what they supposedly did, in July, we could've wrapped up a replacement and CB in good time.

As it is, the squad is better than last year, possibly enough for top 4. Keita coming next summer, probably VVD finally and hopefully a keeper, then Phil will go to balance the books.

At least people can stop paying attention to the 'We have £200m to spend' headlines.

Barcelona could still sign Coutinho on Friday as Spanish transfer window stays open an extra day so this window could still get worst.

Why would Liverpool agree to sell now, Snakeye?

How does that work then? Can they only buy from and sell to other spanish clubs as our window is closed?

If they come back with an improved offer I think fsg will buckle and cash in.

What makes you think that mate? They've already withheld offers in the region of £140million and that was whilst the transfer window was open and could work on replacements.

There's no way they will accept a bid today with the transfer window being closed, can you imagine the fan backlash? Especially after standing firm all through the summer and even making a public statement about how Coutinho would not be sold. It's just not going to happen.

If they offer 160m without add-on bulkshet would you not sell if you were thecmowner? I would. It's just a gut feeling that I think fsg will buckle once their eyes get lit with all that money.
