The echo are reporting that we have agreed a deal to sign Keita next summer.ut sounds a bit like the deal that will be agreed with Barca for Cuntinhio.

Coutinho's replacement. Hopefully he will put his toys back in his pram now and get back to work.

He is the biggest of big jessies.

Great but of business by the club. Now bring in Sanchez on loan (with option to buy) for this season. Get the Lemar deal done and then find a CB.

If we manage that then I won't care if Coutinho stays or goes

Is this contractually sound or can anyone else jump in there or can he pull out?

Great if it's true and goes through (as long as he's no one season wonder) but can't help feeling that we need top players now.

Liverpool have apparently agreed to pay the release clause that comes into effect next as well as a premium (presumably in order to guarantee the signing). Essentially, I think that once the deal is signed then it'll be contractually sound.

But why not pay more of a premium to get him now? I'm not really sure what the point in signing a player for next season is when we need top players now?

Because they won't accept it right now. Liverpool have already offered £65million to get him now (nearly £20million more than the release clause) and Liepzig weren't interested. And I can only imagine that Klopp really thinks the player has a huge future and therefore doesn't want to miss out on him next summer.
