Given that he makes the same mistakes week in week out, I am beginning to question his intellectual capacity. I have said for a long time he is a coward and his reluctance to attack the ball is causing us huge problems. But he is so rash it's alarming and his decision making is getting worse. The number of times his marker looses him or gets the better of him by skill or bullying him is unbelievable. What is more unbelievable is that klopp gave him a new lucrative contract.

The new contract was/is to protect his value, meaning we will get top money for him when sold. Do not confuse the comment with him being top class, just maximum money when he is sold..

Very good player at Southampton though and I dont remember anyone being unhappy with him signing for us, how do we know that if we sign Van tricky dicky he wont turn out to be the same. What Klopp is doing is playing the full backs as attackers which gives us a better attack but is leaving our centre halves exposed, the loss of Lucas trying to cover for this is already evident, although only one game in you can see the difference in the mancs that Matic has made by shielding the defence and thats what we are missing at the moment I believe.

I would say, going by Klopp's pursuit of him, that only VvD is better than Lovren in world football so he must be pretty damn good.

He is a shockingly bad centre half. He has mastered the mis-kicked clearance, the wrongly timed late step up for offside and he has an uncanny ability to lose his man in the box. Excellent if you're a striker not so good for our Dejan .

He is a shockingly bad centre half. He has mastered the mis-kicked clearance, the wrongly timed late step up for offside and he has an uncanny ability to lose his man in the box. Excellent if you're a striker not so good for our Dejan . We can all see it yet it seems Klopp must be blind to it! It seems for him that only VvD will improve matters back there and as that deal looks increasingly unlikely, why the hell does he not look to someone else? Anyone would do better!

I just cannot see how we can even hope to do well this season with him playing every game. Moreno gets a lot of stick on here but Lovren is much worse. I really have no idea what Klopp is up to, I am hoping he has someone in mind because if he doesn't address this problem he is guilty of gross negligence.
