We've sold rushie in his prime, problem isn't selling , it's we need players like Phil for silverware , we still won the league without rushie.

But how do we create a team to win the league without Coutinho ?
Is there a catch-22???

We are not a moving train , in terms of a football club , just like Klopp said , getting a train to move takes more energy than maintaining a moving train,

More energy =??????

does that mean acquiring players overpriced???

Take an example two teams trying to establish

PSG, man city , both payed over the odds substantially , more energy to get their train moving

A moving train can afford to sell top players more than a static train

Klopp is like a coach who has I higher energy yield ,
Gets more out of his players . But is that enough ???

FSG TREAT KLOPP LIKE A FUEL-EFFICIENT CAR, AND DINT PUT ANY PETROL IN IT, OR INSTEAD PUT DEISEL IN IT "BECAUSE ITS CHEAPER"

They may not be a country but they do deal in oil and gas I suggest... snake oil and hot air.

Don't you think with two seasons of +netspend that Klopp has earnt the opportunity to overspend ???

Klopp can spend, we have seen from the bids for VvD & Keita that he has been sanctioned to spend very large amounts, the problem is it appears Klopp has set his heart on players that are not available, so FSG cannot force other clubs to sell players.

The major problem we are not recruiting is Klopp, as it appears he will not move from these 2 targets, he's either expecting the clubs to buckle and sell, or he has decided it's them or nothing, abit like he did in January, which is a major mistake in my mind and leaves us massively weakened for the season, look at out midfield yesterday, we had no options.

We need a defence to win silverware n we look miles away from that tbh. Getting a defensive coach in might be a start as Klopp obviously isn't one.

Bit early t panic n we'll know more after Hoffenheim ah reckon.

The club made a 66m bid for an unknown midfielder and 50m for a CB who has not played for 6 months. If this is not giving the green light to overspend, what is?

@redsforchampions

Are we talking about backing the manager or criticizing his targets???

Do you actually want Klopp to coach the team and try to succeed ???

If in klopps mind he sees kieta and VvD as players he can add to win the league
do you honestly think that he should just give up on those targets when both haven't moved???

I'm beginning to wonder if you actually trust Klopp, if anyone deserves the Benifit of the doubt would it be Klopp or FSG???

If we could of afforded kieta & Van Dijk in normal circumstances , but considering the current circumstances you'd rather Klopp move on from top targets or atleast overpay for atleast one of top targets??? ( remember Klopp sees top targets as players to win title)

What's the point buying klopps second options when we can still get top targets ??? why can't we just pay a bit extra as the harder circumstances ???

If Barca really want Coutinho than £130m

Same applies to FSG for VvD,

If Klopp controlled the money we'd have gotten VvD, albeit overpriced , but he would be in the team ,
