But Coutinho is injured so that's why he didn't play as I was saying when I steam rolled in (after reading through the thread).

I've watched the goals a few times now and although the organisation wasn't great and Wijnaldum was the main culprit for the third goal I've changed my mind about giving Mignolet another season. He should have stopped the first and third goals yesterday.
The first goal was in an area where he clearly should have came and caught it, instead he stayed rooted to his line. So first goal was down to him as far as I'm concerned, it should have been an easy catch. I think he should have stppped the third too.

Also Barca won't buy him if he's cup tied not at 135 mil anyway Qualifiers don't count for being cup tied.

I'm just saying if phil has put in a official transfer req might as well forget about him in the team imo Klopp won't select him Our problem is not Phil as we scored 3 without him yesterday, defending set pieces is.

I think it mcmamaman who said yesterday when talking about set piece issues that the manager can give you a plan. But if you are not good enough to execute it then there is not much you can do.
He mentioned the last corner that lead to the goal and knowing that we have problems with late goals. He said they should have been screaming at each other not to concede. He said that we don't have players who actually want to head the ball away.
I think he is bang on. For that last goal if you do everything in your power to stop that goal then it is more than likely not going to happen. But it is happening too often with us as the players are not killing themselves to stop it

But it is happening too often with us as the players are not killing themselves to stop it All Wij had to do was head the ball forward (back to where it came from)for a throw in, instead he tried a sideways flick header to clear it out the box with 2 minutes to go? it's basic silly mistakes.

I agree the defence issue is all about coaching sure we could buy better players but there was enough quality out there yesterday not to put in a performance like that we did not even have the basics there is no excuse at that level. Klopp has to take responsibility. I also wonder about mignolet although you can't blame him for the goals remember a goalkeepers job is not just to make saves also is to command the area shout orders bollock people scream and shout I wonder whether that is lacking too
